Upgraded Royal Enfield Engines Promises Better Fuel Efficiency - Karnavati Bikes

Upgraded Royal Enfield Engines Promises Better Fuel Efficiency - Karnavati Bikes | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
Keeping up with the promise of better and improved bikes, Royal Enfield has started working on new and more powerful engines.

The news from the auto industry reveals that by the year 2020 that is four years from now, the country would be moving on from the BCIV emission norms to the BCVI norms, giving lesser time to the vehicle manufacturers to upgrade their vehicles.

Royal Enfield has already started a program specifically to meet these new stringent emissions norms and the program is named as the Engine Development Program. The program ensues the upgrading of the engines of all the existing models and even the upcoming ones. The starting of the program by Royal Enfield is an indication that the company is not only ready to meet the new norms but it also wants to offer more to its customers. With new and upgraded engines, the bikes from the renowned brand will be more efficient and reliable. They would deliver more torque/power and be better fuel efficient. The company seeks to remove the problems existing in the current models that of oil leak and vibrations.

Nevertheless, the start of the program is in itself a great gesture as seen by the auto experts.

Currently there are four different engine options from Royal Enfield – these are:

535 cc with Continental GT
500 cc with Thunderbird, Classic and Bullet
410 cc with Himalayan
350 cc with Thunderbird, Classic and Bullet

The company proposes to upgrade all these engines under their new program. A new bike yet in the test stages is being developed by the company in Europe. The bike is rumored to have 700 -750 cc engine and will be modified for the BCVI transmission norms for India.

As a buyer would you be interested in test driving the existing models with the current engines, just visit our Royal Enfield Showroom in Ahmedabad or would you want to wait for a few months perhaps when the new and upgraded engines will be launched? Do let us know.

Royal Enfield Classic 350: Why you should own it

Royal Enfield Classic 350: Why you should own it | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
Are you a style connoisseur that loves the puttering of the motorcycle which can be heard even from a distance? If yes, then you will love the Royal Enfield Classic 350 just as lakhs of proud owners of the bike do. Since its launch in 2009, the motorcycle has sold several lakhs of units and the sales are growing at a steady rate of 50 percent over the years. This denotes that there is something special about this bike and here we are to tell you what makes the Royal Enfield Classic 350 so special. Here are some exclusive features of the motorcycle: Design and styling: For those that love the Classic, it is mainly because its design bears familiarity with the British era Royal Enfield Bullet. Despite the several similarities in design, the Classic has a hint of ‘premium’ quotient to it which makes it better looking and comfortable. Engine: The new Unit Construction Engine (UCE) is also one of the features that make the Classic a premium bike. The new engine has increased the efficiency and reliability of the motorcycle to great extents. It has an integrated five-speed gearbox with a left side gear shifter. Performance: The single cylinder 350cc engine offers great character and performance to the motorcycle. It is not meant for speeding but for cruising at a steady speed and that is what it does best. The power performance is best at 2500 and 3500 rpm. Riding quality of the motorcycle is very good and it is stable even on the rocky or gravel terrains. Price: The price of the Classic 350 is around 1.25lakh which is reasonable considering the iconic brand. The average fuel consumption is around 40 and 42kmpl which makes it great for a motorcycle that has the old age charm and retro feel. If you are looking for a stable, machoistic and strong motorcycle, choose the Classic 350. Visit at our Royal Enfield showroom in Ahmedabad (Karnavati Bikes) to get more details and a test ride. - See more at: http://royalenfield.karnavati.co/2016/11/23/royal-enfield-classic-350-why-you-should-own-it-2/#sthash.TZGCfEER.dpuf

Royal Enfield’s 750cc Beast in Works! Here’s What it will be called

Royal Enfield’s 750cc Beast in Works! Here’s What it will be called  | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
Keeping with its promise and vision to introduce new models for motorcycles every year starting from 2016, Royal Enfield is planning to roll out the 750cc motorcycle by March 2017. The new motorcycle model will be a flagship model of the company as stated by the CEO of Eicher Motors, Siddhartha Lal and it will be called the Interceptor.

Keeping up with its British roots, the company has given the name Interceptor to its new soon-to-be-introduced model raking up the memories of the 692 Interceptor, 700 Interceptor and 750 Interceptor that were introduced between 1960 and 1970.

Continental GT Chassis is the basis on which the new motorcycle will be based as reported by those that spotted the motorcycle when being tested in the United Kingdom. However, there could be some modifications as well. The engine of the motorcycle is said to be the parallel twin 750cc engine that is expected to produce power of 45-50bhp and 60Nm of peak torque. There are reports that the motorcycle will have telescopic suspension and Paioli shock absorbers in the front and rear, respectively.

Expected to be priced around Rs. 3Lakh, the Royal Enfield Interceptor is being seen as a straight contender to Harley Davidson Street 750. With this model, it is expected that the image of the company will certainly be enhanced in the global markets.

Royal Enfield is further developing other bikes with different engines and features to capture a sizeable market. Work on a 400cc bike which is being tuned to produce 40Nm is already underway. It is also reported that another bike with an engine capacity of 600-650cc has also been designed and will soon be developed. The promise of new models and better engine quality and performance has raised the faith of people in the brand. The company saw an increase of around 33% in sales in the month of October with the share prices of the parent company, Eicher Motors also gaining ground.

What is the Best way to Maintain a Royal Enfield Bullet?

What is the Best way to Maintain a Royal Enfield Bullet? | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
Aha, so you are one of the proud owners of the Royal Enfield Bullet, a master piece that is one of its kind and in its own class. There is no competition for the Bullet as it is not a bike but a way of life. You ride it not for commuting but for the sheer luxury of driving and stuttering your way across the roads.

However, if you want your Bullet to be in the best shape and running condition, you need to maintain it properly. Here are some tips that you can follow to keep your Royal Enfield Bullet in the best of shapes:

Regular cleaning: one of the main things to do is regularly clean the bike, at least from the outside. The dust and grime that it gathers while riding can interrupt with the smooth working of the parts. While you can just wipe off the dust regularly, you must get it spray-cleaned with detergent and water to wash off all the mud that has stuck.

Regular servicing: Regular servicing of the bike is essential to ensure that it works smoothly. Servicing includes checking for the engine oil, brake oil and other essential lubricants that help it run smoothly. You must get the oils changed after the designated mileage. Servicing also includes checking for the filters and replacing them if necessary.

Wires and connections: With regular servicing, you will be able to keep all the wires and other electrical connections in order. Any loose connections or wires should be tightened to ensure that they do not spark.

Our Royal Enfield Service Center is always ready to help you maintain your Royal Enfield Bullet and other bikes in top shape. You only need to schedule the service date with us and our reliable and experienced technicians will take care of the rest.

Why Royal Enfield is Cult Motorcycle for Most of the Indians  | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it

Motorcycles have always wooed the Indians as the automobile of the elite. In the yester years while the scooter was the appropriate mode of transport owned by a middle class family, motorcycles were the transport of the fortunate few. But Royal Enfield is not to be considered simply a motorcycle; it is the bike that has existed since the days of the British rule when it was only accessible by the police and the army.

The stuttering engine of a Royal Enfield could be heard from a distance.  It filled the hearts with the respect for the mighty. Ordinary civilians knew that someone powerful was on his way riding across on his Royal Enfield, the beast of those times. Till date, Royal Enfield is considered a cult motorcycle and it carries that image of being a hardy and classic bike that garners respect from all quarters.

Why should you buy Royal Enfield over Better Mileage Bikes?

Why should you buy Royal Enfield over Better Mileage Bikes?  | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it

The Royal Enfield bikes have always had a craze and fan following of their own. Those that have driven these bikes have never found the same appeal, riding pleasure and sheer bliss in other bikes that may be better in terms of many things, including mileage.

Royal Enfield may be considered more of a commuter bike that gives you riding pleasure. However, in a country like India where most people are more concerned about the mileage, Royal Enfield could be a little down the list of favorite mileage bikes.

Nevertheless, here are some reasons why you should buy Royal Enfield over other better mileage bikes:

Nimble and agile: you will be surprised to know that despite its weight, the bike is better off in terms of nimbleness and agility when compared with other lighter bikes. You can easily switch lanes or turn around easily without having to lug at your bike.

Heavy weight: There is no denying the fact that Royal Enfield is surely a heavy bike and that requires some good strength to control it. However, this turns out to be an advantage for its owners as it is not easy to pick by robbers.

Versatile: the best thing that goes in favor of Royal Enfield is that it is a versatile bike that can help you ride through the rough and rugged terrain and through the lanes in a city where lot of dodging is required to move around other vehicles, very easily. This type of versatility cannot be expected in other better mileage bikes.

Mileage: While mileage is criteria here to decide whether you should buy Royal Enfield or not, it must be pointed out here that the mileage of the bike is far better than other bikes in the category. Moreover, considering several other factors like versatility, engine strength, lower repairs and other features make it a better option than others that may be good at mileage but lack in other aspects.

After-Sales Service: You might buy other better mileage bikes, but when it comes to after sales services, nothing beats the Royal Enfield dealerships. Known for our ‘customer first’ policy, the Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes have always earned good points from their customers in and around Ahmedabad.

Whenever, you, as a customer have a query, problem or any other request, you can simply send it across to our dealership on connect@karnavati.co, or by calling on 24×7 helpline no. +91 9016442200. Your request would be promptly answered and catered to. If you are looking for a test drive of the Royal Enfield, just visit us at our dealership at below address.

The Legendary Bullet is Back with a Bang

The Legendary Bullet is Back with a Bang | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
Whenever there is talk of an iconic bike that has ruled the Indian roads for the longest time, the one name that instantly crosses your mind is that of the Royal Enfield Bullet. Simply called the ‘Bullet’ it had that certain aura around it that made it the wonder and majestic bike for the masses. However, with the introduction of the better performing 100cc bikes in the 1980s and the certain problems with the Bullet, its craze diminished a bit. Nevertheless, the bike is now with a bang and that too in a much better avatar not only in its looks but even performance-wise. The company Eicher Motors has planned to increase the production of these iconic bikes as people are fast moving on to purchase lifestyle bikes that are meant to give you a better riding experience rather than be used for commuting. The proud owners of Bullet are already gushing about the great looks and great performance of the newly launched bike. These owners like their Bullet for its superb styling, the iconic ‘thud’ ‘thud’ reverberation and its comfortable riding. Even the youngsters that are more into sports and adventure bikes love the Bullet for its laid-back styling that makes it great for a laid-back riding experience. You will never see a Bullet racing down the streets as it is not meant to be racing. Instead it is such made that you enjoy the ride and the surroundings. There is a certain comfort zone when you are riding a Bullet and the owners swear by this notion. Those that have ridden the Bullet once will always remain loyal to the bike as they would never find that level of comfort in any other bike. - See more at: http://royalenfield.karnavati.co/2016/11/26/the-legendary-bullet-is-back-with-a-bang/#sthash.Z45CIkJt.dpuf

Royal Enfield motorbikes will now be Used to Fight Fire

Royal Enfield motorbikes will now be Used to Fight Fire | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
Royal Enfield is about to change the way firefighting is done in India. Purpose-built REs were inducted into the team of fire fighters who in turn acknowledged the toughness and maneuverability of the bikes deep into the heavy traffic or narrow lanes.

However, things are in for a change. For the first time, the fire brigade of the Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) has got motorbikes to fight fire. Sounds absurd! Not at all. In fact this is a very novel and a very good idea to reach out to the places that are not reachable by the big fire trucks.

Paying more than Rs. 5.30Lakhs for each bike, the Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) has inducted seven Royal Enfield Bullet motorbikes to its fleet of fire fighting vehicles. These bikes are equipped with adequate fire-fighting equipment that can contain the fire till the time additional help arrives. VVMC Mayor Pravina Thakur inaugurated the motorbikes fire-fighting equipment.

The equipment on the motorbike consists of two backpack type of fire extinguishers each with a capacity of 10 liters. The firefighting system used in the motorbikes is water-mist based. A very fine spray of water is released to extinguish the fire. This system of water-mist spray creates a blanket around the fire, cutting out the fire-fuelling oxygen. This helps in controlling and extinguishing the fire or at least contains it till the time proper help arrives. The fire extinguishing power of the water mist is enhanced by the compressed foam used along with the system.

The introduction of the Royal Enfield Bullet motorbikes to the fire brigade has boosted the morale of the fire fighters as they can now easily reach out to difficult-to-reach places. The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has given all clearances and the bikes are ready to zip through the congested roads and traffic to fight fire.

Royal Enfield Electra Renamed as Bullet 350 (ES)

Royal Enfield Electra Renamed as Bullet 350 (ES) | Tips & Blogs of Royal Enfield Karnavati Bikes | Scoop.it
What’s in a name? When things are almost similar it makes sense to merge them as one and call them by the popular name. Isn’t it?

If you had favored the Royal Enfield Electra compared to its badge-mate Bullet 350, you are in for a surprise. Yeah! Now there is no more Electra; only Bullet 350 as the company has decided to call the Electra as the Bullet 350 (ES). However, don’t lose heart as nothing besides the name has changed for the bike.

Listed as one of the trim models of the Bullet 350, Electra adds to the color kitty of the Bullet, which was only available in black. With Electra in its stable, the Bullet 350 (ES) would be available in four color variants that include Silver (ES), Blue (ES) and Maroon (ES).

The company’s decision to rename the Electra seems justifiable as there was no need of a separate category when all the features were similar between the two bikes except for a few variations. Right from the badge of “Bullet 350” to the paint scheme and the logo, both the bikes were similar in all aspects and that was the reason why Royal Enfield chose to call Electra as the Bullet 350 (ES).

The Bullet 350 has already made its mark with its 350cc single cylinder engine and a thumping motor that produces a power of 20PS delivering a torque of 28Nm at about 4,000 rpm. As far as the price goes, the Bullet comes at a around Rs. 1.12Lakh while the Electra now under the Bullet 350 (ES) regime has been priced at Rs. 1.25Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Want to own the beast? Visit our Royal Enfield showroom in Ahmedabad today to have a test drive of the Electra (Oh, we forgot, it is Bullet 350 now). Take home the magic, take home Royal Enfield.
