A few errors in this story, it's not a "London" tax credit, it's a UK thing and FX houses are not relocating to the UK - the UK simply has some very good shops already. However, spot on especially when one producer says, "You don’t make movies in L.A., no one is shooting movies there unless they're micro-budget things."

The Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister said: "It's really sad to see cameras recording imagery in an inferior way, starting to take over film." While declaring "I am not going to trade my oil paints for a set of crayons," he concedes: "I will be one of the last guys shooting film and Chris Nolan will be one of the last directors shooting film, but I am certain we'll be using digital technology within the next 10 years."

Studios are moving to stop distributing 35-millimeter film prints. Converting to digital is an expense many theaters in the fading drive-in industry can't afford.

If you want a 100% classic drive-in, the Belmont near Gastonia. NC is as close as you'll ever get - anywhere in the US.  Bring the kids, charges by the carload!
