NFL head of officiating backing the refs after last night's controversial end to the Patriots-Panthers game. The no-call at the end led to Carolina's victory after Luke Kuechly bear-hugged Rob Gronkowski in the end-zone on a Tom Brady pass to his tight end.

It didn't look like Gronk was going to make the catch-- he was falling backwards and the defender was clear in front of him, but rules are rules. Gronk was clearly interferred with and questioning whether or not he would've caught the ball is guess-work. Nobody knows for sure what would've happened but when there's a penalty, refs are obligated to call it.

The no-call was the Patriots' second game this season where a loss ended on a controversial note. The Patriots lost to the Jets in OT on Oct. 20 after a missed field goal by Jets K Nick Folks was called back on DE Chris Jones of the Patriots was flagged for a penalty that had never been called befored.

I don't think we'll be hearing much from him this week as he prepares for this huge battle against his former teammates with a Super Bowl berth at stake.

Here we go again! The Rob Gronkowski watch is now starting to get on my nerves more than the yearly Brett Favre watch we had to endure in the QB's final few seasons. Now I know how Bill Murray's character in Groundhog Day felt! Screw this I'm not going to post anymore updates from here on out about Gronk's playing status!

The injuries keep mounting and the New England Patriots keep finding ways to win ballgames! This is another big loss for them to deal with, but this team keeps on grinding away.

NFL Betting – 2013 New England Patriots Preview

The New England Patriots have endured more than any other NFL franchise this offseason. It won’t be enough to stop them. Time and again the online sports betting skeptics have pointed out the flaws in the Patriots’ design, and time and again Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have responded. New England has won four-straight AFC East titles and nine of the last 10, and how well they come together throughout the year will dictate whether or not they can reach their goal of ending their Super Bowl drought.

The New England Patriots won't have to worry about a costly Stevan Ridley fumble against the Houston Texans. Ridley was a healthy scratch for Sunday's game.

Can you blame them for sitting him down? His fumble issues must get corrected or his NFL career will not last much longer no matter how much talent he has. He may have already worn out his welcome with the Patriots, but he will get another NFL job.

He's a good running back and can help a team win games, but it all comes down to ball security.

The New England Patriots went into Baltimore and kicked some serious a$$ in Week 16 and that is putting it nicely. The Ravens couldn't get anything going as the Tom Brady led Patriots built a 20-0 lead heading into the 4th Quarter.

I think we're heading into a Brady vs Peyton Manning AFC Championship Game sometime next month in Denver!
