Eighth Amendment

The Supreme Court banned the sentence of life without possibility of parole for most juvenile offenders but they recognized an exception, however, for juvenile convicted of homicide. The exception was both cases involved 14 years old killers. The eighth amendment states that it prohibits fines and bail. In this case they didn’t parole.

California has a high use of growing medical Marijuana. Federal agencies have targeted Californians who smuggle marijuana across state lines for money. Federal prosecutors have raided or threatened to seize the property of scores of growers and dispensaries in California even if it’s for medical use. They aren’t allowed to do that unless they have a warrant or have probably caused.

The right to Bear Arms 2 admentment

Only police officers and body guards are allowed guns. In Illinois there has been an attack where a woman was beaten and mug from a guy who has a long criminal record. Having a gun could have prevented the attack. The 2nd amendment states that we have a right to bear arms so the people of Illinois should be able to have guns.

Jennifer Keaton doesn’t like working with gays. She encourages people that being gay is a choice and is morally wrong. She wrote an essay saying it would be hard for her to work with gays she was put on probation and was going to be expelled. This is freedom of speech and this is unconstitutional how she is punished for speaking her mind.

The death penalty is said to be constitutional. But how can it be if the 8th amendment states no cruel and unusual punishment. If we are killing people using the electric chair or anything else we are being unconstitutional with the cell mates.

   Senators have created bills witch make them test there players in major leauge baseball. If you get caught once its 2 year suspension if you get caught a second time than your ban for life. This is unfair because there making bills that make players automaticly take drug test.

The 2nd amendment allows us to own guns and there shouldn’t be places like no gun zones. At any moment you may need to protect yourself from danger and if there are these no gun zone people may be afraid to bring there guns out and if there not protected they may get mugged or beat up. There should be background checks on the guns and people to make sure these guns are in the right hands.

Amendment 1 How wearing american flag t-shirts is disruptive.

A group of students decided to wear American flag tea shirts on Cinco de Mayo. The kids sued in federal court about how the assistant principle ordered students to remove the shirts calling them incendiary. They have a right to freedom of speech by wearing tee-shirts. They shouldn’t be punished because as long as they are not hurting people with there shirts then they should be able to wear them.
