800-1000 word essay Dear Momma

DoniEl Moore's insight:

Dear Momma,

I hope your feeling well. I miss you very much. How have you been? I heard you have not been doing well. I hope you been doing better than me. Things have been kind of rough here. I have been living rough through the depression and all. At one point of time I was a wealthy man but now since I lost everything in the stock market I don’t have a thing.  I took out a loan but now I am in debt. Then I had to rob a bank, which did not go well. I got caught because one friend of mine that went with me to rob the bank told the cops everything. So now I am in jail and about to get out tomorrow. The depression has hit everyone really, really hard. People are loosing their stocks, cars, houses, etc. I fell sorry for the homeless (hobos) out there. I wonder how it feels to be out on the streets with totally nothing all the time, because right now I fell angry and hopeless and I have not been broke really that long. People out here, are in debt like pigs in a blanket. People everywhere out there are just homeless and helpless. Every once in a while there will be a place where you can get handouts such as food and drink. At least in here I cam get some food. People outside are really struggling and should just get arrested; at least you get food and shelter. Even though that’s good and all, I would still like to leave. I am very happy I am getting out of here tomorrow. Have you ever been to jail? As I remember you have not been. It is very terrible here. People are always fighting and everything, but back on the depression. People like I said early in this letter are really struggling. The government didn’t make it any better. They have invented credit, which is when you get something and can pay for it later. People have put almost there whole life on credit, which put them deep in debt. They have to pay off there houses, cars, and groceries.  It’s kind of funny because people should use common sense they think; aw I can get this I’ll pay for it later. They should think about it. That’s why I thought about the credit and I didn’t use it. But I did use it once for a car but I payed that of like 3 days. Groceries and other things I needed in that category I payed for in straight cash. Like I said I was a really wealthy young man. It just sort of went south for me. But it’ll be okay I hope to get out of this depression real soon because this is not a fun life to be in right now. It really sucks being broke I have no money to do anything and on top of that I’m in jail. Goodness gracious I can’t wait to get out of this place. It stinks like dirty old men and rotten cheese. People would rather just lie in the street than be in here. Did u ever here on the news about people riding the rails. It’s sad huh. Little kids and hobos, and on top of that people are getting hurt riding those things. Little kids accidently fall under the trains, people loosing their arms. It’s just crazy. That’s what this depression will do to you. It will make you do dumb things, such as riding those dangerous trains. I think this depression will be one to be known for a long time. For years to come people are going to be talking about this for a long time. The weather hasn’t really been that great either its been kind of dry not really much rain. People are calling it a Dust Bowl or something. I just know I need water when I’m outside. I hope its not that dry where you’re at because if it is you need to stay inside its dangerous out there. I hope this Depression ends soon because I need my cash again but the only good thing right now about this depression is that people’s stock are really, really cheap. The smart thing people could start doing is buying a whole bunch of stock and then when this depression is over they can sell them for a really high price. That’s what I’ll do. But the thing is I get out in about 12 more hours so when I get out I am going to buy some cheap stock and when the depression is over I’m going to sell them and hopefully be a wealthy man again. Then I’m going to visit you and take you somewhere nice to eat. So love you and see you when I get out/wealthy again.
