The meeting was chaired by Tuyaratt Achariyachai who is the head of the Standing Committee on Tourism. At the meeting many things about the airport were discussed including taxi services, car parking and rest room facilities, as well as general safety issues that might affect the airport.

The Don Mueang Airport, which was severely damaged during the flooding in Thailand earlier in the year, is set to resume operations earlier than was previously expected. Previously the reopening date of the airport was set as 1st April but the efforts of people working on the repairs have meant the airport could be ready to open several weeks before the initial date.
