An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

Faith in Religion is restored as religous extremism is set aside in the mainly Islamic populated country of Turkey. A number of popes have visited Turkey over the years so as to celebrate Mary's shrine. Surprisingly Christians make 1% of the 74million population, yet both religions are able to coexist within their own borders but altogether surrounded by religious unrest. Pope

An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

The Pope makes it known to everyone that the church is open to everyone regardless of purity. For those who have been renewed should not look down on those who sin. He goes on to say that, "the church is made up of sinners." It's under God's wings that we sinners congregate and are then transformed, renewed and sanctified by God.

There are some surprising inclusions and omissions on the Zionist group’s latest list.
An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

This is an analysis of groups that are considered "anti-zionist" it is clear that they even acknowledge the Neturei Karta on it. They consider these groups to be the most threatening to zionism and Israel. Although this analysis is clearly done by a group who disagrees with this list.

An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

I came across thos article and would the notion of religious superiority still exists in this world at this day and age. Is there faith in this world? These African immigrants question themselves as they're drawn back to unrest. Upon arriving in Israel, they bound to face cases of discrimination by religion and race. A few Jewish individuals believe they are superior to these African and therefore they want the immigrants depoted from Israel.

An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

The artcile explains that if a government bases some of their policies on the ideas of certain religious groups, extremism will rise in the country. It explains that this is because that group will view their ideas as correct because they are recognised in a nations law, and thus they will be intolerant of other religions.

I chose this article cause I could relate the drive between the Boko Haram and Al shabaab leaders in both Nigeria and Somalia respectively. Both these Islamist groups share a sole goal which is to turn their countries to a fundamentalist islamist run governments. This is why they have pulled such atrocities such as the Westgate Attacks and this recent happening.

This study in the article brings to light that religion and logic, science, are not always in conflict as many scientists find them compatible and define religion in a non-fundamentalist way. 15% of the scientists from the study say they never ever conflict, but 70 said they sometimes conflict.

Tony Blair: long-term problem of extremism needs to be confronted

Tony Blair: long-term problem of extremism needs to be confronted | Religious Extremism | Scoop.it
Envoy to Middle East says religion needs to be put 'in its proper place in politics'
An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

Blair's view on countering religious extremism may work, but suggesting that people will actually be able to be tolerant and respectful one another's religions seems unrealistic. This is because as long as extremism exists in a religion, tolerance cannot be acheived. He has the right idea of attempting to place religion somewhere separate from politics, and avoid the overlapping of the two. While a good idea, this too seems to be an unrealistic goal to reach for.

After former SS officer Erich Priebke died on Friday, officials have had trouble finding a church or even a country willing to have his funeral or accept his ashes.

Protesters march to the Church of Lefebvriani to condemn the funeral of former SS officer Erich Priebke that was scheduled by the Society of St. Pius X on to go on Tuesday. The spirit of forgiveness lacks  as Rome, the Vatican, Argentina, and Priebke’s hometown in Germany refuse to offer Priebke a funeral or accept his remains. Officials have had a hard time finding a church or countyr willing to have his funeral or accept his ashes. Pope Francis' vicar in Rome, Cardinal Agostino Vallini,  prohibited any Rome church from giving Priebke’s his funeral rites.

Pink Smoke Over the Vatican examines gender discrimination in the Catholic Church

Pink Smoke Over the Vatican examines gender discrimination in the Catholic Church | Religious Extremism | Scoop.it
"Women have been told, You must be in error; God could not have called you to be a priest."
An Aperitif to Belief's insight:

Started off as a dislike for dresses when she approached her mother and told her that she wanted to be Altar Boy. And her mother replied, "girls are not allowed to be altar boys." And that would be the beginning to her fallout with the Catholic Church.

Evidently, there is an on-going battle of sexes around the world with the church falling victim now. There's pressure from the exterior of the church organisations to allow female priests to be ordained. But as for Priests such as Walek say, "Women have been told you must be in error; God could not have called you to be a priest."

The article is on US forces avenging Kenya's Westgate attacks by raiding one of the militia's strongholds in Somalia's town of Barawe. This goes against religion, two wrongs don't make a right. As the Bible puts it figuratively if one slaps your left cheek give them the right one too. It's interesting to watch US forces act omnipotent.

I scooped it for the reason as the world watches US forces act omnipotent sadly I'd like to watch the US forces crumble. They've inflicted enough around the world and i believe they are behind this religious conflicts.

The article provides an interesting insight into how extremism is not truely an accepted practice in the Islam faith, and that extremist act are a deviation from the true values and principles of the religion. As well as this, the article explains how these extremist acts have been 'added' to the normal religious practices, thus seeming to be part of the religion when looked at from an outsider's perspective.
