Recruiter or Multi channel Marketer?

The world is changing.  Fast.  Yes, you guessed it, the result of technology and the digital landscape.  It is changing the way we network, work and communicate.  And you know this, because you’re experiencing it and its increasing pace that has everyone feeling like time just disappears.

It is expected that many jobs that children in primary school today will fulfil don’t exist yet.

One change that has been evident in the field of recruitment over the past five years is the evolution of the recruitment role.  Whatever name you want to give it: Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, Resourcing, Recruitment, in recent times the greatest challenge has been the attraction of individuals into the selection process.  Marketing has grown in importance and itself as a profession is also being revolutionised.  The marketing media and channels are changing rapidly.

How Can We Make Recruiting Better?

How Can We Make Recruiting Better? | Recruitment marketing | Scoop.it

Recruiting is broken. In fact, it is so broken that almost no one I have ever talked to about the subject has offered up a point of disagreement. Not one person has said, “I love recruiting” or “We find that recruiting works just great for us.” Among the Valley’s cognoscenti, today’s startup truism is that recruiting is the most important function of a great CEO. If that is so, why is it so hard to do it well, and why does it have to be so universally despised?

While it may be obvious, let me start by giving a couple of case studies of the sorts of recruiting behavior that I think are endemic to the problem.
