George Henderson's insight:

Auto-tune has sparked many positive and negative opinions about its use and continues to change the music industry. When analyzed from an consumer’s point of view,  a moderate use of Auto-tune can enhance vocals and make the song generally better. In this article it talks about how auto-tune was initially made to disguise or correct off-key pitches. This allows vocalist to sound perfect. Auto-tune in the music industry has changed music everywhere. In 1998 the first song to use auto-tune was “Believe” by Cher. The use of auto-tune began being used more at the beginning of the 21st century due to the hip-hop artist T-Pain. Auto-tune can enhance vocals and make the song generally better. However, it might just be a way for not-so-talented musicians to get on the spotlight and strike it rich.
