Selling a home does not have to be a mystery. In fact real estate is not rocket science. There are some really simple things you can do to ensure that your property gets sold in a timely fashion for the most money possible.

Andrew Fortune offers some excellent advice both in the form on an excellent article as well as an easy to understand info-graphic. Andrew explains there are essentially three basic principles to getting your home sold.

The first is making your home stand out in a good way. Have the home looking it's best before it hits the market. Make any necessary repairs as buyers like turn-key properties where they don't have to lift a finger. Once you have your home looking spotless and in tip top shape keep it that way during the entire home sale process!

Make sure your hire an exceptional Realtor who is familiar with the local market and price the home correctly. This can not be overstated. A home priced properly from day one will sell for more than one that is overpriced and gets reduced later on down the road. Pricing a home higher than it is worth does not bring you more money!

The last phase of the transaction is procuring a buyer and getting them signed to a contract. Following up with all paperwork is important. Keep your transaction running smoothly by staying on top of what needs to get done!

Do all these things and you will be sitting at a closing table selling your home!
