Office to Outdoors Programs Available from Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon

In addition for developing and leading environmental education programs for kids, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon leads similar programs redesigned for adults through her Office to Outdoors program.

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon's insight:

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon is pleased to announce that in addition to creating and teaching environmental education programs for young children, she has also developed a new means to bring this type of education to adults: the From the Office to the Outdoors program. With this program, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon works with any office, business, or organization to help develop a sense of unity with the environment, and to provide participants with hands-on experience of the natural world.

“Children are so naturally curious about the environment, but as adults, we’ve often been so conditioned to ignore it that we almost forget that it’s there,” commented Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon. “At this point, many adults have not even really seen truly natural places, especially if they’ve lived in big cities all their lives. I find it incredibly rewarding to help people find and learn about the environment, and realize that they, too, are part of it.”

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has noted that in addition to helping adults get in touch with nature, her consulting and programming also acts as an excellent bonding experience.

“Being out in a natural setting definitely lets adults open up and play a little bit, in ways that they may not be able to in an office setting,” said Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon. “I think when that curiosity about the world comes back, it can bring this almost childlike excitement to adults in a way that leads to an improvement of interpersonal relationships. It breaks down a lot of preconceived notions and allows for a fuller experience of life.”

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon urges interested groups to get in contact with her about From the Office to the Outdoors programming. Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has extensive experience working with groups of all types, from all walks of life, and is happy to design a program to fit any client’s needs. Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon looks forward to her continued work with her From the Office to the Outdoors programs.

Educator Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon Celebrates Honors and Recognition

Throughout her career as an environmental educator, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has received recognition for her hard work, dedication, and ability to enrich the lives of children.

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon's insight:

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon is pleased to announce that she has received recognition for her extensive work in the field of environmental education. For many years, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has been teaching children and adults alike about nature, the environment, and the importance of seeing oneself as part of that larger world.

“This is something that I’m extremely passionate about,” said Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon about her work. “Seeing ourselves as part of nature, as part of the world, is one of the most fundamental parts of learning to become part of a community and to respect the environment, and yet it’s something that we so often lose out on. I love having the opportunity to bring both kids and adults back to that simple, basic relationship through immersion in the environment, and then to come back and talk about it - what did you see, what did you smell, what was your experience, what does that mean to you.”

For her creative approach to environmental education, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has been honored multiple times. Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has received multiple Certificates of Appreciation from the USDA Forest Service, Region 9, Eastern Milwaukee for her Contribution to the Conservation Education Outreach Program and consulting services. For her childhood education programming, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon was awarded an EcoKids Nature Camp Special Recognition for outstanding commitment and contributions to Leo Carrillo, California State Parks. Additionally, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has received an Environmental Merit Certificate from the Midcity Neighbors Environmental Committee, and a Service to the College Award from Santa Barbara City College.

“I think, in part, these honors have reflected a significant desire to learn more about the environment,” remarked Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon. “I certainly don’t want to sell myself short,” she joked, “but I think that one of the reasons that kids and adults find my programming so engaging is that this natural component of our lives is so often missing. We don’t always have the opportunity to go out into nature, play and simply experience and reflect on it. My largest hope is that my work inspires others to encourage further investment in environmental education.”
