Newspaper Article from Daily Times-Enterprise, Jul. 28, 1892 -- page 3

This article describes a town as "live, progressive, and prosperous, is one of the best points on the Georgia Southern Railroad."   Have you ever heard of it?  Note the advertisement in the bottom right hand corner.  What are they?  Why do think people chose to build their town near the railroad tracks?
