The Paradoxes of the Mueller Investigation - Victor Davis Hanson

The Paradoxes of the Mueller Investigation - Victor Davis Hanson | Public Relations | Scoop.it
Mueller's existential problem has been with him from the start. Due to the shenanigans of his discredited friend Comey and a rabid media, he was appointed to investigate crimes that did not exist. But if they did exist, collusion and obstruction were committed by those associated with the Clinton campaign and even by members of the Obama administration..02/22/2018 14:00:52PM EST.

Embassy Suites by Hilton: Five stars does not ensure employee integrity or professionalism

Embassy Suites by Hilton: Five stars does not ensure employee integrity or professionalism | Public Relations | Scoop.it
I honestly hate being confrontational because things tend to go from a contextual phase to something much less desirable. Such was the case today at Embassy Suites (@EmbassySuites) in Orlando (Orange County Florida) when trying to deal with the front desk manager over my stolen wallet. I’d stayed at this particular location and as is my usual when in a 5-star hotel, I relaxed my personal security measures and left things lying around in my room that I shouldn’t have, like my wallet and work credit card. Needless to say, when I checked out of the hotel, I forgot my wallet and so the story begins.

11 Essential Rules for Powerful Twitter Marketing - Jeffbullas's Blog | Public Relations | Scoop.it

Twitter is changing, become public and is verging on visual. Here are 11 rules for powerful Twitter marketing to increase brand awareness, leads and sales.

I remember when I joined in 2008, that the rules of engagement were just about fun and frivolity. It was a playground for social media enthusiasts that were exploring and pushing the boundaries. It was about having conversations with people all over the world. That still happens.

There were only 4 million people on the platform when I began and using it for marketing was not considered. We were all just playing. Today with mass media embracing it for TV, real time breaking news, distributing content and viral marketing the bird has muscled up.

With its increased maturity the rules have become clearer and its marketing power obvious. Here are some essential rules for Powerful twitter marketing to increase brand awareness, leads and sales....

How Powerful Content Trumps the Myth of the Expert, Rock Star, or Guru

How Powerful Content Trumps the Myth of the Expert, Rock Star, or Guru | Public Relations | Scoop.it

... True thought leadership is hard to come by. It requires proven expertise, not claims of grandeur by self-promoters who waste their time with sharing empty or obvious “insight” in their blogs, social media posts, and webinars. They make it sound like anyone can become a thought leader simply by leveraging effective content marketing strategies.Content marketing does work, and works brilliantly — when you’ve got something of value to say. For thought leaders who truly have unique, insightful, or useful information to share, the web provides endless opportunities to show it (not just tell it) to the world. So where do you start?...

4 Reasons Why Blogging is Critical for Your Hospital

4 Reasons Why Blogging is Critical for Your Hospital | Public Relations | Scoop.it

Hospitals make people feel well, but do they make them feel welcome? Now more than ever, you want your hospital to be known as a warm and comfortable place where people are treated by people who care. The most effective way to make that impression is through a hospital blog. Blogging is simply the best way today to connect with people, boost staff morale, and make your facility seem more friendly. It may take a little more time and effort, but a blog can bring you benefits that other branding efforts can’t match. To see why blogging can be so good for your hospital, HealthcareCommunication.com featured these four vital signs.

1. A Hospital Blog Builds Bonds – Blogging can lead to loyal relationships with people in your community. When you share interesting news and views, you keep people reading, responding, and returning for more. Just keep your posts short and simple, and use a friendly and casual tone. This helps readers relate to your posts and think of your blog as a source of support. And make your blog easy to follow by offering an RSS feed.

2. Blogging Puts a Friendly Face on Your Hospital – For many, hospitals have an institutional image, but a blog can make your hospital come across as much more human. It adds a personal touch to your hospital branding and advertising and gives readers a sense of comfort.

3. A Blog Shows You Care About the Community – Think of your blog as a virtual voice for professionals, patients, and people in your community. Try to bring in a team of bloggers with a wide range of professional experience and personal experiences. These can include nurses, dietitians, donors, patients, survivors, and hospital executives. Use their posts to share how much you care.

4. Blogging Revives Your Rankings – A hospital blog can breathe new life into your Google rankings. Google favors sites that continually feature fresh content. And that’s exactly what blogging enables you to do. Just make sure to update the blog on a regular basis to maintain your rankings and readership.

While a hospital blog needs to nurtured, it’s an operation that’s worth performing for the healthy connection it forms and fosters.

With all of the strange goings on with healthcare at this point...anything hospitals can do to engage on a more personal level with their communities is a must.
