Pneumonia is a lung infection that can make you very sick. You may cough, run a fever, and have a hard time breathing. For most people, pneumonia can be treated at home. It often clears up in 2 to 3 weeks.

The symptoms of pneumonia is teethchattering, diahrea, nausea, fast heartbeat, chest pain, and a fever. The longer you have pneumonia the worse the symptoms would be. In severe cases, pneumonia can lead to death or coma. You can also have cough, shortness of breath, as well as a little mucus when you cough. They may not be obvious and they may come on gradually or very suddenly. For bacterial pneumonia it usually comes after you have had an upper respiratory infection, such as the flu or a cold.

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs that can effect children and adults. It takes a larger toll on children. People with pneumonia will need to go to a hosiptal so they can get antibiotics because when pneumonia is not treated it leads to trouble breathing, liquid in the lungs, even coma or death.
