The concept of coding is very foreign to me, but the idea of analyzing, understanding, and creating is not. Maybe that's where we are going with "coding" in education? At any rate, it's a thought to consider, what are you going to do if, in the near future, your administrator asks, "what are your students coding today?"

Here's another way to engage your students or ferret out the formative assessment of their understanding. It is fair to ask why another one after we have used PollEv and Pollcode and Socrative, Todaysmeet, and on and on. The convenient advantage is that it is connected to your Google Drive so resources that you have preciously developed are accessible, and its easy.

These videos focus on Grades 1 to 6. Accessibility, differentiation, and solid lesson designs all meet under the banner of UDL. Lots to apply to the face to face, blended and fully online K-12 classroom. Universal = Everybody learns.

Yes, Barb's insights are right on target. I have been using EdPuzzle and find it easy to use and providing a complete package for teachers who want to ascertain which students viewed the video, answered the embedded questions, which questions were answered correctly or what did they understand from the video! Highly recommend.

New version of Presentain. This service helps for audience engagement. If students use their tablets or smartphones at lectures, is a really good choice. Initial free pack (5 presentations, 7 slidecasts, 3 polls).
