- There is no MAGIC age at which your child is ready to use a potty. However most children will develop the required skills needed when they are between 18 months and 3 years old.

Starting to potty train your child when he/she is not ready will only prolong the process and cause you both unnecessary upset.

Toddlers love routine, so do not attempt to start training during a disruptive period in your child's life e.g. Moving House or Bringing New Baby Home as this may cause upset and create setbacks in behaviour.

When your child begins to show an interest in potty training, do not push him/her too hard as they will learn at their own pace.
Learning how to potty train boys or girls is easy when you as a parent have access to useful and well proven potty training tips.
