Quek Ee Pin's insight:

I can see from this article that even in a mostly white dominated country like Britain, conflicts still come about as it is a multi-ethnic society that contains different races and religion. It also shows that all races are vulnerable to conflicts and racism, and that it happens to countries all over the world. I wonder is there any methods or ways to stop this and promote harmony instead

see, think, wonder

The people are racially prejudice. they have unfavourable or discriminatory attitude or belief toward someone else or another group of people primarily on the basis of skin color or ethnicity. if racial prejudice is not reduces, iti could lead to racism , and if racism is not addressed , it could lead to more prejudice. racial prejudice can harm not only the victims , but also larger society, and indirectly the peolple who are engaing in the acts.

Quek Ee Pin's insight:

I can see from this article that Singapore is respected by the world for our education and teaching system. It shows that Singapore's system is something many countries want to implant in their own systems and is a method that works in the 21st century. I wonder how different countries manage to try and implant and similar system in the own country.

Quek Ee Pin's insight:

I can see from this article how people who face troubles still managed to succeed. They showed how by persevering, and overcoming their troubles, they managed to achieve the almost impossible. They also show that it is possible to achieve anything if they worked hard enough. I wonder how they managed to persevere despite all the troubles they faced.

This is my insight using See-Think-Wonder thinking routine. From this article, I can see six different women, despite facing obstacles and adversities, became successful all because of their hardwork and never-say-die attitude. I think that these 6 women deserve our admiration and respect as they started off with nothing, but could end up rising to the top. I wonder how they can be so determined, despite such difficult circumstances, can continue to persevere on.

Nathaniel Loreno Arendayen's curator insight, July 2, 2013 12:03 PM

Using the 'see-think-wonder', I can see six women who became successful through their effort and perseverance. Despite starting from nothing and the hardships they faced they never gave up and finally got to where they deserve to be. I think that these women are incredible because of their attitude towards life. It is often the people with little resources that have the most willpower. I wonder how many people in the world know of these six women and how many have been inspired to be like them.

Quek Ee Pin's insight:

I can see from this article that prejudice is different from men and women. Men relate prejudice with anger while women relate it to fear. This explains how people make their decisions and also why they react it certain ways. It also explains that why in history, many things happen because of how men and women apply prejudice. I wonder why is prejudice different in men and women.

Quek Ee Pin's insight:

I can see from this article that by finding and using these traits, one can belief in themselves. This allows them to make the impossible possible and achieve great things using their talents and abilties. It also lets them become the person they want to be, and allow themselves to achieve greatness. I wonder how people will succeed by following this mindmap.

Teo J-lyn's curator insight, July 3, 2013 3:27 AM

As long as people believe in themselves, they will be able to do better in life, of course, with the support of their family and friends. In order to achieve what they want to, they must have traits like determination , and a sense of motivation.Taking risk and being patient and having self esteem is also very important. I beleive that with a good attitude and personalities, a person can achieve great talents.

Wu Weiyang's curator insight, July 3, 2013 11:21 AM

I see that there are many factors leading to realization of reaching the possibilities such as specific personality traits and environmental factors. However, the most important factor is to believe in yourself, build up your confidence and have the desire to succeed. I think that women can be just as successful as men in the different faculties as long as they realize their talent. I wonder what will happen if the enviroment is not ideal to realize your talent.

Ameer Artsyrup's curator insight, July 5, 2013 9:52 AM

From this flowchart, I can see that there are many factors that may or will lead to the opportunities available. The flowchart also show that rescilience and the desire to excel is also needed to reach the possibilities other than having the skills needed to do so. Another important factor is that we must believe in ourselves in order to achieve the opportunities. Eventhough there are a lot of factors that has not got to do with us we are solely responsible in opening more opportunities.
