As someone who believes that piracy is not necessarily bad for the music industry, I find this topic intriguing.  The discnnoect between how people feel about piracy and the actual numbers on the topic are especially noteworthy.  The sources used were recent and Forbes in respected with little to gain by reporting anything positive on piracy.

My topic is Music Piracy. Going into recording this felt very relevant. The many sides to the issue, but I am focusing on whether or not piracy is actually bad for the industry, or if the industry is just slow to react to market changes.

The Guardiian is a large UK newspaper which gives a measure of credibility.  Additionally, the article is realtively recent.  The only problem may be that the article may be written to influence more than inform, but the points it makes are still valid.
