Sarah Woloson's insight:

Top 10 Ways Bloggers Can Use Pinterest (Part 1) - BlogPaws | Pinterest: Market Yourself | Scoop.it
Top ten ways that bloggers can use pinterest

Via Kelly Lieberman
Sarah Woloson's insight:

A lot of these articles are telling people to make sure they add the "pin it" button to their actual websites which is awesome because then people are even doing your work for you. They're pinning your stuff without you having to really lift a finger. Another thing that keeps popping up is to be active. This seems like a given but unlike Facebook where there can be a negative response to "too much" activity in a way where everyone's newsfeed is being clogged up, the point of Pinterest is for people to see stuff they've already confirmed by following you that they love your posts.

Pinterest is more popular than ever during the holidays, so it's time to up your social marketing strategy.

Via Jeff Domansky
Sarah Woloson's insight:

The best piece of advice in this article is to remember to refresh older boards. I don't follow a lot of boards, but I use Pinterest daily because the boards I do follow are updated so frequently. I never run out of ideas for the holidays and searching keywords like "holiday" and "sequins" makes my search easier so don't forget to add hashtags! Pinterest is, essentially, one giant compilation of wish lists so you're already a step ahead of other brands.

Why Every Business Should Be On Pinterest

Why Every Business Should Be On Pinterest | Pinterest: Market Yourself | Scoop.it
Pinterest is the most sales-actionable social media platform on the Internet; it should be utilized by every business.
Sarah Woloson's insight:

Pinterest is an ideal way to get business because the people using it are specifically searching for products and are willing to click the link to your site. Also, people are more likely to pin than like something on Facebook or retweet something. This is probably because there aren't really any negatives to repinning. It isn't like you're liking the status of the person you met once while studying abroad or advocating for a brand that you really know nothing about. On Pinterest people repine what they actually like and if you believe in your products like you should, there is no reason you should worry about lacking repins.

The most popular product on Pinterest is. . . .

The most popular product on Pinterest is. . . . | Pinterest: Market Yourself | Scoop.it
Unfortunately, out of date Pins is an on-going, unsolvable problem with Pinterest. Products are going to go out of stock and there’s no tool for removing every Pin that points to a dead link.
Sarah Woloson's insight:

This article addresses the top pins on Pinterest and how one issue with the social media is keeping it updated enough to compensate for the popularity it creates for brands. Top pins sell out fast, but since they are so popular, their exposure keeps growing before a company can upload and promote other products for users to buy. For the most part this is a good thing though because it means that Pinterest Marketing for businesses is working! People that log on to Pinterest are actually buying products and not just browsing. Sure, keeping stock is important, but in the end, popularity comes and goes and it's never  bad thing to sell out of a product.
