The rise of moral individualism has produced a generation unable to speak intelligibly about the virtuous life.
Michael McKenzie's insight:

I would like to see a study that compared adults answers to the same questions. Most people as it turns out are deficient in their ability to reason effectively and come up with cogent arguments to moral dilemmas. The religious rules and practices Brooks refers to may give people more certain answers but this is not the same as behaving more morally.
