wisdom knowledge by Sri Sri Ravishankar — Benefits of Ayurveda:Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

We definitely need to adopt certain things from Ayurveda. Lots of thoughts disturb us when there is stomach disorder. When vatta or pitta in body gets imbalanced, too many thoughts arise in mind. There is a ayurvedic medicine, Triphla, which balances the three Imbalances in the body. It is good to take Triphla for 1 - 2 months. You can take 1, 2 tablets, or a spoon of Triphla churna before going to bed. It increases energy level in body. Vitamin C also provides you immunity. Sometimes allopathic doctors prescribe medicines for 15-20 days for stomach disorders, and that adversely affects liver and body. There is Devati which you can take. It is very effective in curing fever also. Ayurveda has the specialty of correcting disorders and diseases without any side effect. And hence we should adopt Ayurveda. All these are home remedies and one should keep these with oneself. And if at some time, some disease prolongs then one should definitely consult doctor.

wisdom knowledge by Sri Sri Ravishankar — Buddha & Silence : Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

We see so many people dying, we see so much of misery, we remain insensitive. Why? Because there is no silence. We are caught up in our own little hankering, cravings and aversions. The mind is filled with its own noise. It is unable to perceive the music of existence. Silence is the music of this existence. Silence is the secret of this existence.

wisdom knowledge by Sri Sri Ravishankar — Buddha & Silence 3: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Buddha said, “go beyond the questions, be answerless, for you are, your being has the solution to all the questions”. Turn every question into wonder. Ho! You know, what is the difference between question and wonder? A question creates violence, wonder creates silence. The astonishment of wonder does not seek for an answer. It brings you home to silence.
