En 2012, les grandes entreprises (notamment dans l'univers du Luxe/ de la beauté) prennent de plus en plus le même tournant:

- à la fois développer une publicité qui se veut de plus en plus centrée sur les valeurs, l'univers, l'élégance, et donner un ton et un sens très CORPORATE à leur image de marque (et non juste un produit)
- dans le cas ici présent de L'oréal Paris: Dépasser encore et toujours plus les conventions de produits que l'on juge à "Grande Consommation", présent en masse. Ici point de produit, point de standardisation, point de musique banale. Tout est pensé pour livrer une réelle valeur visuelle. Tout est pensé pour créer une atmosphère tangible, réelle, proche, si parfaite qu'on ne veut la perdre. Le plaisir des yeux, pour le plaisir d'un moment.

Tout l'enjeu de la publicité en 2012 pour les marques grande conso: arriver à créer un moment privilégier pour un produit qui pourtant ne l'est pas tant que cela.

Once upon a time, there was a Tumblr, launched in July 2012 that simply aimed at uploading different pictures found on the Internet, with a certain sense of humour. The topic here was all about kids, showing off their wealth through Instagram.

 

It turns out that, what most of us perceived as an obscene and shameful website, has been going mainstream right after its launch and over the past 2 months and a half. Shared on Facebook and Twitter, evoked over and over again in different news website, the Buzz is a huge hit.

A hit SO SUCCESSFUL that it drove a constant traffic on the blog, and enabled its creator to sell Ad inventories, as you can see now when connecting on the page.

 

>>But my question isn’t about the website: it is about the blog creator decision to do so?

How can you create a blog that is so successful in a short amount of time and not get the best out of it? Or do you consider that display-based advertisting, after 2 months of existence, is the greatest decision you could have come up with?

 

HERE IS THE IDEA: in our world, especially with the blaze of the Internet's possibilities, people always try new digital things. As the BUZZ is something that we cannot control, is there is any, they exploit this opportunity to sell advertising, and think that the money will flow... but how much do you get out of it? $1,000 / $2,000 a month? Cool, right?

But what about CONSUMER'S BEHAVIOUR in this case? How can we explain that a blog so unethical, with values so low can actually gain so much attention? Media have the answer (they say): it is the Kardahsian effect and human's nature prying into people's lives.

 

>>I think there may be more than that. Adding the display advertising is slowly killing the interest for this website. Which is a loss as we didn't know yet what it was exactly. What sort of expectations it generated, and which value it could tend to bring to people? As the general theory says, people will always pay you as the value you're providing increases. But I think that we'll never know what was behind the "RichKidsOfInstagram" Effect. 
Marketing should mull over this case as it is, as I see it, one of the greatest new trend in 2012.

1- telling a story, or some stories, that will catch people from their routine
2- combining social apps: instagram; and social media: tumblr
3- driving traffic for a value yet unidentified 

4- NOW THAT YOU STARTED SIMPLE, HOW CAN U GROW FASTER?

 

I'm certainly working on it.

Les voyages font les Hommes. Partez vous découvrir, voire re-découvrir.

 

Au coeur de l'ascension d'un pays, on trouve la plupart du temps la croissance d'entreprises exceptionnelles, porte-drapeau nationales. Il est temps que la GénérationY Française développe ses propres idées, ses propres concepts. Il est temps d'agir. Mais pour cela il faut avant tout partir.

Partir pour THINKING OUT OF THE BOX.

It is about time.

well it's been pretty popular right now -espacially in the US; still wondering about that in the FMCG industry in France- that Brand Content is one of the new things.

Just a fade they said. There's no room for such a temporary content, they proclaimed.

 

Hate it or love it, the short run is one of the best marketing tools today. How can you create short messages, or conveying short ideas? You need to do so over and over again. Do not fetch THE buzz. Just create the conditions to get it.

Most popular brand content producers are those who actually publish for the sake of publishing. They write for the sake of giving opinions, visions. Fame may be the consequence, but it is not the target.

 

Keep in mind as a brand, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; texts are part of your new weapon to emerge: get used to it I would say; get trained for it; get information on it.

For the glory of publishing. We've never felt so much connected, and in power of our own words. You feel that you do not control anything on the web? That is just the opposite: you can handle a lot; but you've got to be in it, to win it

où EUX (chaînes de TV) continuent d'être; et NOUS (Vous, moi, tout potentiel utilisateur de smart Tv) commençons à émerger avec nos chaînes de télévision (video perso, recommendation de videos, et échanges avec pairs) MAIS AUSSI notre système d'information (connectivité Internet, stockage d'information via le Clouding concept), et plus généralement NOTRE PROPRE MEDIA.

 

À la manière d'un iPhone, où le système de communication et notre interaction avec autrui s'en sont retrouvés bouleversés; avec l'arrivée de la Tablette; avec la prochaine arrivée de la SmartTV... Apple est en train de créer un véritable eco-système, un réseau d'information parallèle dans la vie des personnes, un MEDIA qui nous est propre, relié par des outils technologiques de plus en plus développés, et de plus en plus nombreux.

 

Une simple révolution de la télé?

À mon sens.... en route vers le Personal Media. Aux marques de préparer cette nouvelle avancée, et longue vie à celles qui l'intégreront très rapidement.
