Madeline's insight:
Like author Christopher Gray, I’ve been having a hard time finding scholarships to apply for. Madeline's insight:
It is really important to know the background information about the scholarships you apply for, and that’s what I really like about this article. It not only gives information about the scholarship (how much money it is, and how many they are giving out), but it gives some background about the company that gives the scholarships. If you really know about the scholarship that you are applying for (the people or company giving away the scholarship, and what goals or beliefs they may have), it makes applying very easy because you actually know something about your audience- and effectively reaching your audience can really make or break an essay. This article really taught me that I should thoroughly research all the scholarships that I apply for to increase my chances of getting them.
