A couple more pictures of the huge seaworm that was preying on fish for over ten years. This is one big worm, I have never seen anything like that on any of the beaches and tidal flats I have ever visited.  The photo at the bottom is truly enlightening at how large it was, and to remain undetected for 10 years is a mystery...

While the information is mostly good in this blog post, the main reason I am scooping this one is the picture of the Diatom filter.  These are not mentioned in the article but the units are the best spot filters I know of, the will take out minute particles, down to 6 microns, which is algae, and many bacteria to clear cloudy water of all types.  
One of the few power filters I know of that still uses an actual induction motor to run it, and its been that way for decades.  No-one else has been able to come up with one that works as well with any other system.

Good diagram of an air pump and air stone set up. The use of a check valve, or other means of preventing a back siphon if the pump stops unexpectedly is discussed.  I prefer to use a few loops of airline positioned above the aquarium to prevent the loss of output the use of a check valve normally produces.  Of course if the air pump can be placed above the tank, there is no requirement for either
