I am agree with this article because according to five key feature of IMC:

 

     1. Start with the customer or prospect.

     2. Use any form of relevant contact or touch point.

     3. Speak with a single voice.

     4. Build relationships.

     5. Affect behavior.

 

 The feature of IMC is helping business to expand their scope of customer. IMC is playing an important role of the marketing industry. Implement of IMC is a development tendency for a successful business.

This article reports about the definition of IMC, advantages and barriers of IMC and the model of it. It has quoted other authors’ definition which varies. In my opinion, the definition of IMC includes both combining of marketing tools and business process. Moreover, considering the advantages and barriers of IMC is crucial to make it successful using IMC. It also talks about the model of IMC in details demonstrating the “4 pillars of IMC”. Finally, the author has mentioned “Coco Cola” as the example using IMC to make audiences believe IMC will help the company operate well.

This report discuss the variety of models the IMC strategy can be implemented whilst it goes on explaining the advantages and the difficulties organizations may face when doing it. The main points are:
1- IMC can save money on the long run but organizations that are primarily concerned with short-term financial benefits can fail to understand that IMC is most of all an investment.
2- The structural forms of some companies might pose a barrier for the development of an accurate IMC strategy. Generally, hierarchical sets make difficult for the necessary flow of information occur within all of its departments. Therefore, if the brand’s message is not well understood by them all, it will reach the consumer in a very inconsistent way.
3- It has been increasingly harder to maintain customer loyalty.
4- IMC is not only hard to implement and to measure, but it also can be costly.

Yes, IMC is refers to the enterprise in the process of business activities, to outside-in based strategic view, in order to communicate effectively with stakeholders, use marketing communicators to expand communication strategy. I am agreeing the IMC definition and how it used into the business of this article. Company use media tools to buzz their brand is one of the most impaction for attract the customers.

Well this is a really nice article reminds us of basic things need to consider when carrying out IMC strategies. It tells us the features of market, media and consumers which are three main and most important components in IMC like PR and marketing campaign. It also shows the importance of IMC because it is more efficient and can better communicate with consumers. At the end the author listed four tips to improve IMC but i believe the most important one is to know who you potential customers are because this can increase potential profits.

Good insights Shino, this article provides tips in which brands and companies should utilise for their own benefit, I do think that the different levels of management and areas within the business also need to take these tips and concepts as a resource for better ways in which they communicate and how to maximise and achieve their goals. You make very valid points Shino in your insights and I completely agree that IMC is consumer centric because without effective IMC practices and process, consumers would not exist. good read! good insight!

I would definitely agree on how this article defines the meaning of imc and how it should be used. Many businesses these days needs to consider the involvement and communication with consumers with such tools as the social media, via Facebook, Youtube and other blogging sites. Acknowledging consumers opinions when asked, advertising n billboards and doing surverys will increase consumer satisfaction. Having more satisfied consumers, produce more loyal consumers who will spread their opinions to others abou tthis great business, which then expand and lead to great success. Intergrated marketing communication, is an act of communication engaging one with another, involving a business or a brand. Allowing consumers to be together and creating an experience is a great influence in creating a core image and message of the brand in which the marketer is trying to gather and establish.

Everything is going to be global by social media. there is no secret in entire world if you have a internet device. As I disscused in other comments, customers may share their feeling or experience of purchase to at least 10 friends. in the past, it takes couple of weeks, but 10 seconds today...by internet. the social media will definitely help you communicate with your friends immidiately. and the thing to worry about is social media is not delivering the good news only but the bad one as well.

Well, that is a great article, and it is true. In today's world, social media has become an essentialist in our life. I quite like one sentence "If you’re not online, you don’t exist" which give me an unlimited imagination. Should we be happy or unhappy ? Because without internet, we are kind of like isolated. no internet no communication no friends. we are so relied on internet. Back to any organizations, If any organizations are not updated with their products or promotion , it means it will disappear .On the other hand, if an organization has good media communication and good public relationship, then most people around the world definitely know your brand. However, the media also takes disadvantage which explore bad news as well.

Very strong points in this article. As technology develops, everything in our life are related to the Internet. And I am strongly agree with the point that indicates you need to make your business impressive. Only you make the customers remember your brand or product can you attract more consumers and markets. Social media plays a very essential role in marketing so we need to utilize it better and better.
