Forensic Psychology Masters - Masters and PhDs

Forensic Psychology Masters - Masters and PhDs | Organisational psychology | Scoop.it

A forensic psychologist applies psychology in law and law enforcement. Some forensic psychologists start their careers by working as a police officer for a number of years. During this period, they get a real-life insight into the thought processes and lives of criminals.

Apart from the police, there are other environments where forensic psychology jobs are offered to this type of psychologist. These include courtrooms, detention centers or prisons, or community outreach programs. The job description of a forensic psychologist is so varied that it is not possible to detail everything. However, it involves all fields of psychology, i.e., behavioral, cognitive, and social. It covers working as a forensic investigator on a range of crimes from arson and robbery, to rape and murder.
