  • Time on Site
  • Bounce Rate

I posted my findings on my SlideShare Deck with the title of the deck being 10 Social Media Blogs You Should Follow.

As Andy said in his article, estimates may be way off, especially for smaller lower traffic sites.

I was surprised to see the bounce rate, time on site and page views for some of these big popular blogs were not very impressive

The Free Tools I use to Rank and Score a Website include:

At a minimum, you should scan your own website using each of these tools above and compare the results with your Google Analytics stats for accuracy.

At the end of the day, all this analytics stuff doesn't mean squat if your content marketing strategy isn't working for you. Here's how to fix it!

Tapping into the emotional triggers of your audience will have a major impact on how your content gets shared down the road.

Figuring out how to tap into the "awe" factor is easier said than done!

Amusement, Laughter and Joy are much easier to capture and from my experience can be done with good imagery.

In the Socal SEO space, emotional triggers are not as common albeit doable once we put on our creativity caps!

People love lists and 10 is the magic number! 10 item lists on average received the most social shares – on average 10,621 social shares. In fact, they had 4 times as many social shares on average than the 2nd most popular list number: 23. The runner-ups were 23, 16, and 24.

I was planning to work up a List.ly List with 25 Epic Articles on my favorite topic, social seo. Looks like I will have to scale it down to a Top 10 or compromise and go with 24?
