Natalia Jimenez's curator insight, May 16, 8:32 PM
As it is well known, theweb provides many opportunities for learners in this 21st century. For that reason, teachers need to take advantage of all of these resources in order to improve their classes. However, internet has many dangers, and teachers need to be aware about that, and they have the resposability to teach their students how they can protect themselves and the information they share. For that reason, this article provides valuable information for users of this era of technologies. For instance, it explains 5 different tips that need to be considered. The first one is "think before share", and it is connected with the type of information we share in the web. It is important to consider this tip since many people in the web can have access to our information even strangers. The second tip is "protect your staff" using strong passwords. In this tip, the users can learn how they can create and remember your passwords. The third tip is "know and use your settings" which is related with the places where you share information and who can have acces to it. The fourth tip is "avoid scams" which has to do with the suspicious announcements that you could find in the different web pages. Finally, the fifth tip is "be possitive" which suggest that people in the web should do good actions such as possitive comments every single day.

As teachers, it is important to share these kind of tips with our students in order to teach them how they can use these sources with responsability.
