Flipped Learning Model Dramatically Improves Course Pass Rate for At-Risk Students (PDF)

"In September 2010, CHS tested the flipped learning model in one freshman at-risk social studies class, and every student passed the class. In a freshman social studies class made up of students performing on grade level in which a traditional lecture model was used, the pass rate was unchanged."

Sometimes students just need a different approach. If the traditional lecture model didn't work the first time around, give something else a try. Looked at differently, flipped learning is no worse than traditional lecture model in terms of pass rates for "average" kids, so maybe try that the first time in younger grades so fewer kids get to the at-risk designation.

There is an approach to solving a problem, by Guy Brousseau. It looks much like this process.And it works!
