Kayla P's insight:

This article talks about specific things you should and should not do while completing a scholarship application. I liked this article because it actually discusses things that are common mistakes among teens applying to college, it is very relevant. A quote from this article states, "DO have at least two pairs of eyes proofread each essay." (smartcollegevisit.com). This is a very smart tip for an application because fresh eyes can always spot spelling mistakes or other things that you did not see. You never want a mistake on any application, you want the person reviewing your application to see your ability to write, and you must give them accurate information. This checklist will help me during my college application process because I can use it to refer back to. They say never to skip a scholarship because it requires an essay. I have come across some scholarships that I overlooked because of this. I will save this list and use it each time I plan to submit a scholarship application and make sure it complies with this list before submitting so I can be sure I avoid these common mistakes.
