This was a really interesting article. I found out that there are way better ways to get energy during a work out rather than just taking a supplement for it. Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose and then fuel the body and give it energy during the workout. Also I never thought that Sport Drinks were nessecarily that good for you, they just taste good, but in fact the salt and the electrolytes help with endurance.

Dark Chocolate is said to be good for you? This is crazy. How is something so sweet and tastey good for you? This article provided me with many options of good foods to eat; ones that are easy to make to. Nuts are something that surprised me because they don't seem very healthy. But that will be something I will try to eat all the time. As well as Brocolli. I liked how (unlike most sites) they included why it was good for you. Whether it had omega 3 in it or had good protein in it, they always justified it.

This article gave me some insight on some healthy ingredients to put on my foods. Meals like salads can get a lot healthier if you add ingredients like almonds, ginger, salmon, and olive oil. They all work together in some way actually. Ginger helps with the digestion while the salmon is very high in protein and then the olive oil helps reduces appetities so you are not hungry to eat more after it.

All I can say is wow! I have been fooled for a while. These good tasting "healthy" foods turned out to be really unhealthy. Whenever I get a sub or a smoothie I assume I'm doing something really good for my body. But apparently I am not at all. All these so-called healthy foods were very high in fat, surprisingly, and dangerously high in sodium. Which is probably why I liked these foods. I will for sure be changing my diet after this rude awakening.
