This article discusses a project called the sustainabilty workshop, students come after school to work on projects that intrest them, they compete in international competitions.  Students have started projects for alternate lightbulbs and smarter cars.  The lead instructor loves this because students find useable skills and find something they are passionate about through project based learning instead of the traditional learning system.

This article really outlined the benefits of PBL.  At the end of the semester students need to have a project relating to the body system.  Instead of presenting the projects in front of the class students sit in a circle and discuss.  The teacher said over and over she heard students say how much work they put into the projects but how much they loved doing it.   Students also had the oppurtunity to find something that really interested them.  That is why the teacher loves it because the topic can get personal and the students are so much more invested.  The students learn a lot more than they ever would in a traditional learning style.

This school is based off of project based learning and is similair to the CAPS program.  The community school is an alternative school that focuses on self mangement and self intrest. The school is set up that students participate in required reading and math but outside of that they can find their own intrests and create their own projects.

This article addresses a french class going in a new direction.  In this French IV and V class all the students are given ipads for the class.  Students are reading a french novel and instead of jsut reading the book and taking a quiz the teacher started something new.  Students pick out their favorite passages and themes from the story and send them in through the ipad apps.  After that students in small groups create a youtube video of these themes and upload it to the class  site.

This is a video about King Middle School and the new polices brought in by the new principal.  Mike McCarthy made sure that certain groups stopped being favored and remade the learning process in the school.  The students, all coming from different backgrounds, now focus on group projects and students present their projects to their parents.  Students still have state test and King Middle school now scores above average on the test.
