Nike Football Releases “Risk Everything” Ad With Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar ...
Victor De Jesus's insight:

Nike dares to go where they have not pondered yet before. In an ad titled "Risk Everything", Nike steps outside of its normal "Just Do It" boundaries to a more aggressive and direct message. The campaign features All-Start soccer players in different situations as the company has released the campaign just weeks before the highly anticipated FIFA world cup games start in June.

Once the commercial comes to an end (link provided below this), the ad is proceeded by the words "Pressure Shapes Champions" which captures the message Nike is attempting to portray of All starts always being under a high amount of pressure. The commercial is said to be very visually interesting by this article, which i must agree with.

The Nike Monopoly in Sport
Sport.co.uk
Everywhere you go, you'll see Nike. It's almost a given. In today's modern world of marketing, advertising, commercialisation and consumerism, it is almost impossible to avoid big name brands.
Victor De Jesus's insight:

Incredible article about how Nike is said to be monopolizing all of sports.

One may wonder how monopolizing a market could ever be incredible, my way of thinking of it is different.

I find it incredible, almost impossible to believe how well this company brings together success, sports, and marketing to be the magnificent giant we know it to be across almost all sports.

The article credits Nike's successes in its multi-million dollar/pound advertising campaigns and its brilliant use of global sporting icons for the success of the company and the way it seems to be taking over the sportswear market in such fashionable manner.

It is almost scary to dwell on how much more Nike's impact will be in the market since now is when they are just tapping into the magical portal that leads to the hands of the consumers they target, social media.

I see these strategies and the way Nike finds ways to apply them almost as artistic in nature. A nearly poetic strategy that bends the rules of marketing & communication overall, and invents its own routes into our pockets, lives and most importantly, our closets.

Love Nike, for it is unmatchable creativity in the most simplistic curve you've ever laid your eyes on; Its iconic check icon.

Nike gets boost from higher prices, demand - USA TODAY

Nike gets boost from higher prices, demand - USA TODAY | nike marketing efforts | Scoop.it
Nike gets boost from higher prices, demandUSA TODAYBEAVERTON, Ore. — Nike says strong global demand for its athletic goods helped third-quarter net income beat expectations as it readies for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.
Victor De Jesus's insight:
very interesting article on the ups and downs in Nike's earnings for the third quarter. It summarizes it's expected and actual revenues and changes in its equity fairly clear with more than visible gains for the stakeholders who owned the stocks. It is clear that something is up in China where Nike's market share is dimming. the article reports that because of the currency changeover to US dollars, Nike is losing money from its sales in china. In other markets, Nike is making money. For example in Europe where they gained over 33% in sales. They appoint the recent shoot up in sales to the upcoming World Cup in Brazil which has raked in millions of dollars in soccer apparel designed by Nike to match the various teams' colors and designs. Nike has also credited their prices for the boost in sales. They believe customers are more likely to turn the cheek on prices due to the importance of the World Cup games. I find this intriguing as they are literally putting what I learn in my marketing classes into effect and succeeding. I'm excited to continue to track their progress as the games come and go.
