Teenagers and men in their 20s and 30s are having controversial prostate cancer tests in a de facto screening program that is worrying some Australian doctors.

This article is about how younger people are being tested for prostat cancer, and the problems that, that brings. This relates to the lifestyle choices topic we have been studying in class. I agree with this article and are surprised by what it has to say because it seems sad that people are so worried about prostate cancer at a young age.

A third of teenage mothers become pregnant again within two years, usually due to ''inconsistent'' contraception use, Australian research has shown.

This article lists new statistics on teenage mothers, how they are more likely to get pregnant again in the next 2 years and are more likely to be from a socialy disadvantaged background. This relates to the sex ed because as it shows what happens when contraception it not use. I agree with this article as I think these statistics would be probably true.

This article talks about the risks that facebook and social media can have on someone lifestyle, and how it can cause problems in peoples lives. This article relates indirectly to lifestyle choices as what you post on facebook can affect your life. I agree with this article as it highlights to me what facebook it doing.

EVERY day in NSW, on average, three children get so drunk they require an ambulance, figures obtained by the Herald reveal.
Nicholas Hilderson's insight:

This article is about the rise in alcohol comsumption that led to the requirement of medical treatment. It shows how paramedics are caring for more teens who where intoxicated. It also said that if parents taught their children to drink responsibly the chance of over drinking was lower. I think this article is good in explaining the rise in alcohol comsumption with teens.

TEENAGERS who drink even small amounts of alcohol have a significantly higher risk of developing alcohol abuse or risky sexual behaviour as a young adult, research has found.

This article is about how there is no safe level of alcohol for teens. It also says that drinking alcohol increases the risk of alcohol problems as adults.  I think the article is effective because it states facts and addresses the audience well.

In this article "No safe level of alcohol for teens" it shows that if your underage drinking there is no safe level until the age of 18. Teenagers who drink are most likely to develop developing alcohol abuse or risky sexual behavior than those who wait. A lot of research has been taken shows that even the smallest amount of alcohol can effect teens. This is an effective article because the message is very clear.

Teens do not encounter the future when they are out in the sun trying to get a tan. Lifestyle choices affect your skin conditions in your further years. This is becoming more and more apparent in teenagers in 2013 and beyond. We have been discussing all kinds of cancer and lifestyle diseases in class and specific types. Skin cancer is in this category.

It also raises the question about the legalisation of euthanasia, and who controls our bodies. This relates to lifestyle choices as it talks about the impacts these drugs can have. I agree what is being said and I think it raises interesting points about many issues.
