The quickest way to check whether your content has been plagiarized is to do a quick Google search. Simply copy a text snippet from your content and paste it into Google’s search box. Social Media and College sports | Social Media Today

Social Media and College sports | Social Media Today | Digital-News on Scoop.it today | Scoop.it

Jason Sprague's curator insight, June 27, 2015 7:55 PM

It is funny how things work in this world of sports media. First, we had sports writers writing what had happened the day before. That is how people know who had won. Then the radio came out and people were listening to the games and big fights. After the radio, the television came out and quickly marched radio to the side. It was like, you where at the game live. But after the television reigned supreme, people are going to the internet to do a live feed or interviews and in some cases like the app Periscope, the audience can ask questions so the interviewer and sports star can answer it back. So we are going back to journalism but in a whole new light.

Joe Licata's curator insight, December 13, 2015 2:45 PM

Social Media has transformed college basketball. This article argues that it is killing the game. Whats your handle? Use twitter to draw a fan base. Get conversations going. The attention goes from the game to twitter. Youtube can also be used to create your own version of ESPN. You can create fan pages, and get closer to other fans and discuss your team. You can hold contests.

This article points out things that I think are mostly postives for the sport in todays situation. Social media should be viewed as a tool to help promote in my opinion! Using all things written in this article for a positive manner should help them become an even bigger entity.
