William Shaffer's multiple sclerosis diagnosis left him reeling. As a young medical student, he wondered if he'd have to drop out of school altogether. 

 

Dr. Shaffer found a way to turn his diagnosis into a blessing and committed himself to becoming a Neurologist. Now as one of the few known Neurologists in the country with MS, he says his condition helps him build a stronger relationship with his patients who have the same diagnosis.
