Joey Suarez, Gay Latino Electro Pop Star, Releases New Music Video “Dancing By Myself” Exclusively on Revry | Music Production | Scoop.it

When international LGBT streaming service Revry contacted Joey Suarez about offering exclusive content to Revry’s quickly growing subscriber base, Suarez knew the partnership was a match made in gay heaven. As an openly gay musician, Suarez is determined to help break down barriers and increase acceptance, following in the footsteps of other great LGBT artists including Elton John, Melissa Etheridge and Adam Lambert.

Albany Posey's insight:
I wanted to scoop this story because not many people want to come face to face with the LGBT situation in anything when it comes to the entertainment industry.

I have learned this for sure, and that is that everybody was really created equal. Those who are prejudice or discriminate against others don't believe we were created equal.

Me personally, I am glad to see Joey Suarez kicking down walls to bridge the gap between normal and what most consider abnormal. It's great to see he had the guts/nerves to break down barriers and increase acceptance. In my opinion, I don't think anyone is better than anyone else. I use to have a hard time accepting gay people, and it wasn't that long ago that I had that attitude towards them, But God has helped me to realize me and no one else has the right to suppress anyone's talent or gift and take it away from them just because they don't live the life we think they should live. As long as the music sounds good and has a positive message, I will support gay and straight alike when it comes to music.

Nicki Minaj Delivers Guest Verses on New Songs from Fergie and Tasha Cobbs Leonard

Nicki Minaj Delivers Guest Verses on New Songs from Fergie and Tasha Cobbs Leonard | Music Production | Scoop.it
Two new guest features from Nick Minaj have just been released in full: Fergie 's "You Already Know," as well as gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard 's "I'm Getting Ready." "You Already Know" is se

Albany Posey's insight:
I am so happy I found this scoop because it has caused so much controversy in the gospel music industry. Grammy winning gospel artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard has recorded a song titled "I'm getting ready", and has invited Nicki Minaj to do a rap verse in the song. Well, was that a wise decision on the part of Tasha Cobbs Leonard? The gospel music industry is fine with it, but the christian community is in an uproar about it. Why?

Tasha Cobbs Leonard could have chosen anybody else to be on her album, but she chose a controversial rap star like Nicki Minaj. The reason the christian community made it known that they were not pleased is because they saw who Nicki had become and what she represented in the rap world.

This was a woman who used all kinds of bad language, had several sex tapes online, tried to kill one of her ex-boyfriends, and was just all around ratchet. They were wandering how is it that this woman who is not even trying to represent God at all can get in front of a mic and rap in a song that's about him.

In my opinion, I totally agreed with the church because you live like you are a representative of the devil or the under world, but you are rapping in a song that represents the Lord Jesus Christ. I think it was a bad move for Tasha to make that type of decision.

Lee Ann Womack Says The Term "Country" Has Been Hijacked

Lee Ann Womack Says The Term "Country" Has Been Hijacked | Music Production | Scoop.it
Country star Lee Ann Womack has certainly shown a propensity to speak out lately about the state of country music, saying on numerous occasions that what they call country music today is not actually country.
Albany Posey's insight:
I totally disagree with the statement that Lee Ann Womack has made concerning the state of country music saying that the name country has been hijacked and that country music today is not really country. Country music has always been identified by it's unique sound and instrumentation. No other music genre has been able to compete with the distinct sound that country music produces. Whenever I hear the country music of today being produced, it still produces that same sound, and you can always tell it's country music,  not bluegrass, hip hop, R&B, or classical. You see, when it comes to R&B music you can't distinguish the difference between it and hip hop or the difference between gospel and christian. Country music has it's own sound and no other sound has ever been able to duplicate it.

In my personal opinion, country music has turned in to pop. Most of today’s country music artists have taken away from what country music really is. And what I mean by that is, country music was twang, Vettel’s, slide guitar’s Slama fiddle in my personal opinion, country music has turned in to pop. Most of today’s country music artists have taken away from what country music really is. And what I mean by that is, country music was twang, Fiddles,  slide guitar’s, and music that was written about mama, love, and life. I’m not saying that today’s country music isn’t written similar to that, but there’s just way too much rock ‘n’ roll and pop in today’s so-called “country music“.

Celebs react to Aretha Franklin's death

Celebs react to Aretha Franklin's death | Music Production | Scoop.it
Aretha Franklin rose to fame in the 1960s, becoming a music icon with hits like "Respect" and "I Say a Little Prayer." Unfortunately on Aug. 16, 2018, Franklin was reported to have passed away. And since her death made headlines, celebrities have taken to social media to grieve and honor her memory.

Albany Posey's insight:
Ok, here it goes. I might be hated for my opinion, but oh well it's how I feel. I believe Aretha Franklin is a music great in her own right, and yes she deserves the title "The queen of soul" because of the time she entered the game, and her length of service. I get that, but to say her voice was so awesome has never sat good with me. Her death is a trending topic right now, and I know she will be greatly missed by many especially those who came up in the Motown era. I will not sit here and lie and say I think she was the hottest female artist of that era and that she was a bad to the bone singer. I don't feel that way at all. In fact, I feel totally opposite of that. Like I said, I believe she deserved the title that she was given only because what she produced in the industry, not because she was such an outstanding singer.

I can think of a lot more female artists from back in her day that could far more out sing Miss Franklin. Patti LaBelle would put it down and make tears fall from your eyes when she sang.

I hope Miss Franklin rests in peace, and yes she will be remembered for a lot of things Like being the first female inducted in the rock & roll hall of fame. She got her start like a lot of black artists did, in the church. Her father, Rev. C.L Franklin was her father and she sang in his church every Sunday, But to say she deserves the No.1 spot for female voices, I totally disagree.

Nicki Minaj Breaks Up With Boyfriend Safaree Samuels

Nicki Minaj Breaks Up With Boyfriend Safaree Samuels | Music Production | Scoop.it
By BeyondGossip Staff Rumour has it that Nicki Minaj and his long-time boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, have called it quits. The pair have been together for 14 years.   According to TMZ, Nicki broke up with Safaree after he became uncontrollably jealous of her success and started being... http://getmybuzzup.com/nicki-minaj-breaks-boyfriend-safaree-samuels/
Via getmybuzzup
Albany Posey's insight:
Although this story is about 4 years old I scooped it because this story has been resurrected in a really bad light. According to TMZ.com these two have been going back and forth on the internet bashing one another because Nicki Minaj has told the world that Safaree Samuels is guilty of getting a manufactured hair line, so, he has informed the world that Nicki Minaj who has been saying that she wrote majority of her raps is now guilty of not writing any of them at all.
In my opinion, I think this topic of them breaking up is alright to share, but to go out and begin to bash one another and get down on the other's character and personal business is totally not called for. Why do we fall in love with someone and then when it ends we attempt to assassinate the other's character. Not only that, but there were instances when Nicki actually cut and stabbed Safaree with a kitchen knife. He has admitted that he told the police that he tried to commit suicide to keep her from getting arrested. Proof was submitted that Safaree did actually have a surgical procedure to have his hair line fixed because he did indeed have a receeding hair line. In fact, ther were youtube videos of him admitting that he had surgery. I think it is really bad when people have fights like this, and these two have been fighting for the past four years. At this point in the fight though, it is really bad and both parties are going for blood.
The sources in this story are very good sources because I was able to click on links and go straight to the information. The beyondgossip.com is a very reliable source for the entertainment industry and as always been a leader in celebrity gossip.
Also getmybuzzup.com is another very reliable source for entertainment gossip. This is not my first time coming into touch with either of these two soursec.
