The stigma of tattoos!

Tré Dunbar's comment, September 29, 2013 11:13 PM
Yes, but I am not sure if I totally agree with tax dollars being spent on this effort. I am glad the money is going back to the community but it's like they're paying for people's poor decisions.
Isabel Guerra's curator insight, September 30, 2013 4:57 AM

This seems uneccesary. People made their decisions to have their tattoos so they can either get them removed on their own or find a way to keep them hidden at work. No one else, including the city, should be responsible for removing someone's mistake.

This hits home because of the fact that I live so close to Philly. This victim could have been any of my friends or even me. The fact that Lucy's Hat Shop Bar served alcohol to the assailants without making sure they were 21 was a HUGE mistake. It is against the federal law to serve anyone under the age of 21 alcohol. That was only the first mistake on the bar's part. The second mistake was the fact that they kept serving Kless, the victim, alcohol after he was already seemingly "exceedingly inebriated". It might not have been directly the bar's fault, but I feel like it was the right decision to serve the bar in the wrongful death lawsuit of victim Kevin Kless.

Mislabeling food or drinks is rampant. What legal damages can consumers claim  when their lattes are not 100% vegan?
