Do you listen to music as you study? Choosing the correct study music is very important. So here are our tips for picking the best music for studying.

Using the tips provided in this Scoop, create an iTunes playlist of music you would benefit from listening to during study, and promote the playlist with a paragraph and album cover justifying why this would help students like yourselves.

Next, create an experiment table with the headings, 'Piece listened to, Duration of Piece, Musical Elements in the Piece, and Effects of Listening', and listen to five different pieces of different genres (include one movie soundtrack) while completing homework throughout the week.

Do I add my playlist to this comment section? That is a really big series of tasks to add to homework. Why not just ask students to build a playlist and justify their selection?

Teachers can often forget the intense stress and pressure placed upon modern secondary students, hence the importance of allowing music to soothe one's emotions and mind after a long day at school. Relaxation music is an effective mechanism no only during the student's private study times at home, but also to lighten and engage the atmosphere of a classroom. Enjoy listening to this soundtrack either during your next study session as an aid or simply as a relaxant.

Because you have asked your students to undertake tasks in the other Scoop Johanna, why not suggest that they just listen to this music to relax?
