Brody Ray, Transgender Artist, Auditions for America’s Got Talent

Brody Ray, Transgender Artist, Auditions for America’s Got Talent | Music | Scoop.it

Becomes First Out Transgender Musician to Progress to Judges’ Cuts - The third time is a charm for Brody Ray, a transgender singer/songwriter. After auditioning for American Idol and The Voice, the outgoing country singer from Kearney, Nebraska finally advanced to the live auditions of America’s Got Talent and earned four “yeses” from judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum, making him the first-ever out transgender musician to advance on the reality show. Brody Ray performed a powerful rendition of the song “Stand in The Light” by Jordan Smith.

Diquan McWilliams's insight:
This source seems very legit, it has a writer and different official links on the page. It doesn’t chooses sides and seems to go perfectly with the story line . The source has links to his official site , I’m not exactly sure if that’s showing that it has some type of relation with Brody Ray. I wouldn’t say this website is a major information resource because it’s call I Love Gay so I would think it’s made for Gay people and would be slightly bias in different circumstances.

'America's Got Talent' Showcases Transgender Talent

'America's Got Talent' Showcases Transgender Talent | Music | Scoop.it
Week five of auditions for 'America's Got Talent' showcases a diverse cast of singers, magicians, and motorcycle stunt artists.
Diquan McWilliams's insight:
I chose this one because it’s the most reliable out of all he other ones. Even though the article isn’t entirely about Brody , he played a big part in it and the source shows nothing other than news and kept it straight to the point and also didn’t choose sides. Good source in my book.

'America's Got Talent': Transgender singer gives powerful performance

Diquan McWilliams's insight:
USA Today along with a couple other sites have been around for years, always has a relatable topic with a writer and videos and all types of other proof. This specific topic has 3 videos which show the same exact thing , this guy’s amazing voice and the song he has that has got him the audience he’s receiving. I would say this is a reliable source because the article is just telling a news story just how it would sound on the news, straight and clear and right to the point without choosing any sides at all.

Brody Ray, a Nashville trans man, shines on 'America's Got Talent'

Brody Ray, a Nashville trans man, shines on 'America's Got Talent' | Music | Scoop.it
Ray bares his soul through song
Diquan McWilliams's insight:
Even though this one isn’t popular it has good signs of reliability because of the way it’s written including the writer and a few links to help format the story correctly. Also in this specific source he shows that he was able to actually speak with Brody and get his real words on paper. Only thing that bothers me here is that Brody’s words aren’t in quotations so does that mean he didn’t really say the things that are there , or maybe the writer decided to summarize the answers he received from the questions? Either way good source not the most reliable but good enough to get the story across without being bias at all.

Brody Ray

Brody Ray | Music | Scoop.it
Home page of Brody Ray, a pop artist from Nashville, Tennessee. Brody Ray is a Pop/Country Nashville Recording Artist
Diquan McWilliams's insight:
This Is Brody’s official page and it’s just the same source as USA Today it’s just shortened and straight to the point. Which shows that this isn’t a very reliable source because it’s his personal page , if he isn’t controlling it someone around him is and they would never look to slaughter his name in no way , shape or form. I feel like this is his page so the article should be much longer and more into depth in my opinion.
