With years and years of interns interning for free, it is finally coming to a halt because interns who were working for free are suing labels. I feel that this will make it harder for people who don’t have a problem with working for free but for the experience. Labels will no longer want to hire interns.

If a well known celebrity makes a post about a new band their listening to, or a new movie they saw, people from around the world can know about it instantly. That celebrity's post can create so much buzz, essentially making or breaking someone else's career. Social media is a whole new ballgame for marketing.

I agree with this article.  Social media has played a major role in the music industry.  From tweets to Facebook pages, people use these sites to share their opinions about the artist, band, etc., give insight on albums, and form their own communities.  Many users rely on social sites to get information on the music industry.
