Motorola Xoom HRI66 Update Guide
ast night we received word from the official Motorola twitter account that the Motorola Xoom would be receiveding an OTA (over the air update) that would prepare the tablet for Adobe Flash 10.2. Rollouts began last night and some users are already seeing the update as we speak. The New Android 3.0 Honeycomb build is dubbed, HRI66. Also the Android Version is Now 3.0.1. This update prepares the the Xoom for Adobe Flash and it DOES NOT actually include the Flash install. SO what about the actuall Flash 10.2 udpate that Adobe has promised for mobile phones and the Xoom? Adobe has just confirmed that Flash Player 10.2 will arrive in the Market on March 18th. If you have already rooted your Motorola Xoom. You will need to relock your bootloader. Motorola has provided everything you need to get the job done, including the Original HR139 download. http://gadgetu.net/guide-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-motorola-xoom-update/

It corporates the webtop hack from Fenny and even uses the .bat installation format that Designgears brought to the Atrix modding community.

Gadget University’s Matthew Gissentanna provides an in-depth look at the Motorola Xoom, the first device to run on Android Honeycomb OS, specifically designed for tablets.

Pros: Freakishly fast User interface, Best in class web browsing, HDMI out, Great Battery, watch the video for more

Cons: Price. $799 off contract $599 with two year agreement. Wifi only version is expected to cost $599 which is a huge bargain

Bottom Line: The Android tablets out on the market have been weak in the face of the iPad. After testing out Motorola’s Xoom, it’s clear the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet has what it takes to compete head to head.
