Real Estate Center Chief Economist Dr. Mark Dotzour shows data from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency that indicates that the residential mortgage market in the banking system is gradually mending.


Dotzour said he is optimistic that 2013 will produce continued improvement in job creation and commercial real estate absorption.


"There is five years of pent-up demand in U.S. consumers and business owners, and American households have regained credit capacity to purchase things," Dotzour said.
