An individual's sense of right or wrong may change depending on their activities at the time – and they may not be aware of their own shifting moral integrity — according to a new study looking at why people make ethical or unethical decisions.

This is an unnecessary debate and a matter of semantics!

We need a full range of capacities to care for, understand, respond, reflect, perceive and attune to others (and ourselves) in order to address the serious problems confronting humanity.

This requires meeting the formative of children (appropriate nurturing, attachment, healthy environments, stimulation, parental modeling, community, boundaries, avoidance of trauma, abuse and toxins) in order to wire brains for well-rounded people with cognitive-emotional-social awareness and skills.

When I first read a blog post by J.C. Kendall, I had no idea who he was or what he did for a living. All I knew was, the guy's writing had pluck. And that's why I liked it.

Come to find out, Kendall is the chairman and CEO of a company called TekPersona, which he says "teaches businesses how to turn audiences into customers." He writes curmudgeonly musings each week that often have nothing to do with his business. For example, recently he posted a picture of sportscaster Erin Andrews with a big red X across her face because of her "chalkboard-screeching voice," called Seal a "dick" for dragging Heidi Klum's name through the mud for their children to watch, and pronounced that "If you feel the need to shoot anyone who offends you, you are a...meow."

"Negroafricanos, marginación y violencia en el mundo hispano en la Edad Moderna" by Aurelia Martín Casares and Luis Méndez Rodríguez

Abstract

Four Horsemen – The Age of Decadence

Four Horsemen – The Age of Decadence | moral integrity | Scoop.it

There are many other features of a decadent state like apathy, amoralism, no one cares a damn. Think Hong Lim Park when several very important issues were raised but hardly anyone bothered to attend. And housing prices kept spiralling and people said it is good. Ashcroft described it as the squandering of a generation of its inheritance. I wonder what he meant and how relevant it is in the City of Sin. One interesting comment by Ashcroft that I feel very strange and astonishing, is the glorifications of chefs in the society. Are we also glorifying our chefs too?  The Americans got rid of the Glass Steagall Act to allow the banks to do as they liked, creating money and gambling in a way that put the casinos to shame. And this is facilitated by the call for deregulations and they did, leading to the financial disaster of 2008 and the massive bailout of the banks that were too big to fall to the tune of U$8.5 trillion. This was several times the amount used to reconstruct Europe after WW2.
