This has a wealth of first hand images and explanations of the effect of the atomic bomb's dropping of Hiroshima and really hit's home about the damage it has caused. Once again, this is a highly engaging and stunning resouce that really makes you think about the morality of the Atomic Bomb and it's creation and use as a tool of war.

On August 6, 1945, the United States used its massive, atomic weapon against Hiroshima, Japan. This atomic bomb, the equivalent of 20,000 tons of TNT, flattened the city, killing tens of thousands of civilians.

This article takes student's through arguably the most horrific, and ethically and morally contoversial decision, the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This article will walk students the events leading up to the bombing and the devestating effects of this on the community within Hiroshima. It is a very well thought out and insightful article, with the insight from one of the bomberss and what he saw include. This is a wonderful look into this horrible incident and will envoke much discussion amongst students as to wether it was the right decision or not.

With mobile phones becoming a "need" for almost every human on the planet, these mining operations are billion dollar industries. However, they are decimating the local Silverback Gorilla population in doing so. This is a great article to show students that sometimes, to get what we want, others have to suffer, and for students to make a decision on the ethics around this. The article has also looked at what is being done about this practice and the push for "Gorilla safe" phones.
