Portability and cost is the main reason for the push towards eBooks. Who wouldn't want to cary one eBook that contains all your textbook material instead of a 25lb backpack filled with huge textbooks. The problem I see though is that for some students, they still prefer to highlight and write as they wish, while doing the same on an eBook takes longer. Time is money as well right?

So in 2006 the word of the year was PODCAST, today it would probably be PERISCOPING. Both can surely be used in education. I can picture lectures being broadcast live when a professor needs to do a live demonstration visually.
