Parts of a good story:

1. Plot = Product/Service, and how it applies

2. Character = Your prospect, and similarities with other prospects

3. Conflict = A struggle between 2 entities; the more interesting the conflict, the more intense the conflict – the better. This is where latent and realized pain is found.

4. Theme = Motivating factor(s), for example – the return on investment.

5. Setting = Context and situational fluency.

Wonderful blog. NLP can be a tremendous tool in workplace. It can be helpful for managing people and creating a better work atmosphere. Meta programs let us determine peoples working styles and how to best utilize them.

There's another really valuable place for meta programs, which is for HR departments and those in charge of hiring. Being trained in how to elicit someones meta programs will give the person doing the hiring a lot of insights about their future employees.

Meta programs can also be extremely valuable when putting together teams.

If you want to learn how you can do all of the above you can contact me via my website www.theNLPexpert.com

Message in a Bottle: How Writing Letters Helps Deal with Grief

Message in a Bottle: How Writing Letters Helps Deal with Grief | MIND INFO | Scoop.it

"Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break."

–William Shakespeare

When a loved one dies, our lives life can be thrown into turmoil. What once served as map coordinates for life, our relationship, can no longer provide a sense of stability, comfort, and support. Death moves us from a life that made sense to one where everything is in upheaval. Grief is something that touches everyone; it can be particularly confusing and painful because we do not normally experience such intensity of emotion. How do we come to terms with the powerful emotions present when grieving? One very simple thing we can do is to write about our feelings.

For hundreds of years people have used writing, especially letters, to express their deepest feelings. Writing letters is a powerful way to stay in touch; this applies to our internal world too. When we write, we give form to thoughts and feelings, allowing us is a small way to begin to understand them. The brain undergoes an internal mapping process, creating an image of the emotion in order represent feelings in words. This process of emotional resonance through he image (the words) gives us a different understanding of our emotions. The act of writing gives form to grief and in doing so helps us move from overwhelm, being inundated by waves of intense emotion, to understanding and assimilating experience—learning to ride the waves.

Writing about your emotions is good for your physical and emotional health. Research has found expressive writing to promote better sleep, better immune system functioning, and a decrease in less healthy coping such as use of drugs and alcohol.

Gideon Rosenblatt originally shared: Insight in Invention

"Strangely, for people who report such breakthroughs, the insight arrives whole, as if the subconscious had already put the parts together. And it arrives with a “knowing” that the solution is right—a feeling of its appropriateness, its elegance, its extraordinary simplicity. The insight comes to an individual person, not to a team, for it wells always from an individual subconscious. And it arrives not in the midst of activities or in frenzied thought, but in moments of stillness."
