I agree with what the author of this article has pointed out. In todays world people are on their smart phones so much now that the ability that marketers have to create a relationship with the consumer on a personal level is very high. The advantages and disadvantages have been listed throughout this article. I agree with the point that mobile marketing in now ready to work for direct marketing. The use of mobile phones these days connects the consumer with the marketer and create and establish a relationship. This will save a large amount of money because money isn't be wasted on flyers and posters.

A very interesting article which Josh Herman presents his opinion of the use of database information and mobile marketing as a form of direct marketing  to achieving the best results. I personally agree with Josh and believe that Mobile Marketing is a highly effectives channel of direct marketing over other electronic sources as androids are becoming ever more popular and consumers almost always have their phones on them contact to the consumer can be at any time possible.

Cells phones are no longer the simple call and text others. Smartphones and all these other fast developing forms of cell phones are now the internet and research and communicating through email, online message boards. nearly every business will require an app for consumers to form a relationship with any business they deal with, from grocceries to banking. I fully agree with this article, especially when the author wrote how business owners love having full control over their own business marketing campaign.

I do agree with this article on the topic of mobile marketing and trying to gain the best results, mobile marketing can be extremely effective type of marketing compared to that of other digital based avenues because people will most syrely always have there mobile phones with them most of the day meaning the consumer can be contacted at any time.

This is a good article on direct marketing. Direct marketing is getting weaker over time, this is because social media is now taking over communication. Social media has grown within the society. I do still agree that some people do still prefer this way of marketing. I believe that direct marketing advertising still has its own target market. People may take mail marketing as junk mail resulting in less attention being paid.

Sending postcards is obviously a traditional form of direct marketing, purposeful and it appears that it is still appealing to customers. Direct marketing enables marketers to specifically target consumers, along side social media. I agree with Georgia’s insight that direct marketing is becoming weaker due to social media being the way forward for communication. I think the idea of sending postcards as a direct marketing tool is creative because it’s labour and cost effective and leads the customers to visit the marketers website.

As the technology is fast growing, the direct marketing has different platform to implement. Direct marketing has the benefits of feel closer to your consumers, build relationship with consumers, lowest costs, fast growth in sales and build database for long term uses.

I agree that this postcard marketing is a useful cost-effective method to communicate with the customers. The risk of postcard marketing is that customers would ignore the mail, so an attractive and unique postcard should be designed in order to grab the attention of the customer.

The impact of social media in the digital bazaar is undeniable. Consumers now demand more transparency, authenticity and engagement from their brands, and the businesses smart enough to pay attention are happy to oblige. In today’s social world, CEOs, CMOs, CIOs and senior management must become aware of the many reasons for joining social networks. According to a study by Brandfog, consumers and employees hold company leaders who engage through social media in high regard.

 

The survey found that executives who engage their customers through social media can increase the company’s brand profile, instill confidence in their leadership team and build greater trust, loyalty, and purchase intent for customers. In fact, 82 percent of survey respondents stated that they were more likely to trust a company whose CEO and leadership team engaged on social media.

This is a great article that talks about a companies communication mix and how they deliver them. Social media is an effective and great way to get to your target market as it also enables the consumer to enteract with you. Direct marketing doesn't just use social media it also can be used in PR and sales promotions. Social media is an important part relating to the success of the brands image. Engaging with the consumer is very important.

This aticle looks at why senior management should embrace social media. This is due to the fact that social media provides many ways for a brand to communicate to the consumer. It is important to engage senior mangaement as a lot of business find they have a gap between the conusmer and management which needs to be fulled.
