A Christian's point of view

A Christian's point of view | mikes Medieval Times project | Scoop.it

I'm a Christian and I think this war is stupid. We won the first crusade and won Jerusalem. The Muslims took back Jerusalem in the second crusade. I think it was really stupid to go back and fight for a third time. We lost again. The Muslims are better at fighting and got to keep Jerusalem. There was a fourth crusade; this crusade was between Christians and Knights for the trade rivals. Best france ruler

Best france ruler | mikes Medieval Times project | Scoop.it

I believe the best france ruler  was Philip II, becasue, he filled in government jobs with people he tursted not nobles. If, he just hired nobles for the governemnet jobs; they could just do the job the, but, not in the best way. He granted chraters to many towns and also introduced a new national tax. He also quadrupled royal land holdings through trickery, diplomacy, and war. He gained control of english  ruled lands in Normandy, Anjou, and elsewhere. He started to control Southern France. Philip II became the the most important ruler in Europe before he died in 1223.

To do this he banned lay investiture so now the emperor rather than the pope named and installed bishops. 50 years later the concordat of worms was accepted giving popes sole power to invest bishops with religious authority.
