The Creepiness Factor: How Obama and Romney Are Getting to Know You

The Creepiness Factor: How Obama and Romney Are Getting to Know You | Michelle Knesbach's BHS GOPO | Scoop.it

It is incredible to see the evolution of political strategy. It is absolutly increduble what factors campaigns look at these days to determine their voting base and the methods they employ to GOTV. Most of these campaign strategies involve accessing online personal data available from Facebook, etc; most Americans are unaware what is occuring. The thought of coorelating consumer purchases and ideology is also fascinating but could end up proving highly revealing.

Post convention numbers

Romney, the GOP's nominee to try to un-crown Obama in November and gain the sacred title of POTUS should feel heat after the poor numbers polls are showing in polls taken after the convention. The convention, a time candidates often reep huge rewards from, did not benefit Romney as many Republicans were hoping it would. Gallup, among other polling sites found the benifits to be minimal (around 2 points). Obama leads Romeny in the polls with 231 projected electoral votes to 191, meaning a lot of votes are up for grabs and neither candidate will have an easy time getting to the elusive 270 votes. Rasmussen showed a bigger advantage gained from the convention. Prior to the convention Obama was projected to get 44% of the votes and Romney was projected to aquire 46% of the votes, after the convention Romney moved up to 48% of the vote while Obama remained steady. The bounce looks minimal from the convention, around two to three points, obviously a lot lower than what the Romney camaign was hoping to see. When it comes to favorablity Romney has gained some ground since the convention, 47% now view him favorably while 48% unfavorably, up a net 7 points while beofre the convention 42 % viewed him favorably and an uncanny 50% of the population viewed him unfavorably. Obama has miraculously managed to keep his approval rating steady despite the the incredibly high unemployment that this nation has been plagued with throughout his presidency. 48% of people approve of his job as POTUS while 50% disapprove. Romney did see a post convention bump of about 2 points but unfortunatly that is not enough to win in November.

Trends in Party Identification of Religious Groups - Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life -- Jewish Support for the GOP Rises

It should be no surprise to see a large shift in the Jewish voting base this election cycle. With a president that is more concerned about campaigning than meeting with PM Netanyahu, a shift of this magnitude rightfully has occured. The Democratic party's platform that attempted to overlook the Israel topic definitly contributed to the 9% slide to the Republican party that has occured to Jewish voters.

Revealed: inside story of US envoy's assassination | Michelle Knesbach's BHS GOPO | Scoop.it

The events that occured in Libya over the past several days are mind boggling. They never should have happened and potentially could have been prevented. It is scary to see how much information was taken from the embassy and the inside details the attackers knew about the American embassy before the attacks!
